The Somali pirates attacking shipping in the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean are directed to their targets by a "consultant" team in London, according to a European military intelligence document obtained by a Spanish radio station.

The document, obtained by Cadena SER radio, says the team and the pirates remain in contact by satellite telephone.

It says that pirate groups have "well-placed informers" in London who are in regular contact with control centres in Somalia where decisions on which vessels to attack are made. These London-based "consultants" help the pirates select targets, providing information on the ships' cargoes and courses.

In at least one case the pirates have remained in contact with their London informants from the hijacked ship, according to one targeted shipping company.
The pirates' information network extends to Yemen, Dubai and the Suez canal.

The intelligence report is understood to have been issued to European navies.

"The information that merchant ships sailing through the area volunteer to various international organisations is ending up in the pirates' hands," Cadena SER reported the report as saying.

This enables the more organised pirate groups to study their targets in advance, even spending several days training teams for specific hijacks. Senior pirates then join the vessel once it has been sailed close to Somalia.

Captains of attacked ships have found that pirates know everything from the layout of the vessel to its ports of call. Vessels targeted as a result of this kind of intelligence included the Greek cargo ship Titan, the Turkish merchant ship Karagol and the Spanish trawler Felipe Ruano.

In each case, says the document, the pirates had full knowledge of the cargo, nationality and course of the vessel.

The national flag of a ship is also taken into account when choosing a target, with British vessels being increasingly avoided, according to the report. It was not clear whether this was because pirates did not want to draw the attention of British police to their information sources in London.

European countries have set up Operation Atalanta to co-ordinate their military efforts in the area.

3. Osama bin Laden and “Al Qaeda” cannot be the organizers nor the performers of the September 11 attacks. They do not have the necessary organization, resources or leaders. Thus, a team of professionals had to be created and the Arab kamikazes are just extras to mask the operation.

The September 11 operation modified the course of events in the world in the direction chosen by transnational mafias and international oligarchs; that is, those who hope to control the planet’s natural resources, the world information network and the financial flows. This operation also favored the US economic and political elite that also seeks world dominance.

Iran launched its first home-made satellite into orbit on Tuesday, state television reported, displaying progress in space technology at a time of persistent international tension over its nuclear program.

The Omid (Hope) satellite, sent into space as Iran marks the 30th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic revolution this month, was designed for research and telecommunications, said the television, which carried footage of the launch.

The long-range ballistic technology used to put satellites into orbit can also be used for launching weapons, although Iran says it has no plans to do so.

"In another achievement for Iranian scientists under sanctions, Iran launched its first home-made Hope satellite into orbit," said the television.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was quoted by the television as saying in a message: "Iran's presence in space with the aim of expanding monotheism, peace and justice has now been officially recorded in history."

The Omid was designed for gathering information and testing equipment and was carrying experimental satellite control devices and power supply systems, the television said.

Iran is under U.N. and U.S. sanctions because the United States and other Western powers suspect Tehran is amassing the capability to produce nuclear weapons.

The Islamic state, the world's fourth-largest oil producer, says its nuclear ambitions are limited to the peaceful generation of electricity to meet the demands of its economy and enable it to export more of its crude and gas.

Iran caused international concern in February last year by testing a domestically made rocket as part of its satellite program. Tehran said it needed two more similar tests before putting a satellite into orbit.

The United States, which has been spearheading a drive to isolate Iran over its disputed nuclear plans, called the February rocket test "unfortunate."

In August, Iran said it had put a dummy satellite into orbit with a domestically made rocket for the first time. U.S. officials said the launch had ended in failure.

New U.S. President Barack Obama has said he sees Iran as a threat but is also offering direct dialogue with its leaders.

Ahmadinejad has set tough terms for any talks with Obama's administration, saying it must change policy not just tactics toward Tehran and apologize for past "crimes" against Iran.

Western experts say Iran rarely gives enough details for them to determine the extent of its technological advances, and that much Iranian technology consists of modifications of equipment supplied by China, North Korea and others.

The television broadcast said the Omid would return to earth after orbiting for one to three months, with data that would help experts send an "operational satellite" into space.

Iran already had a satellite in orbit but the Sina-1 was launched by a Russian rocket in 2005, said the television.

Israel is set on the road to expand its naval fleet with advanced US warships amid speculation that it plans to take out Iran after Gaza.

As part of its massive, $60 billion military buildup project for a period of five years between 2008 and 2012, Israel is working to receive two US-made, multi-mission Littoral Combat Ships (LCS).

The two LCS battleships are expected to replace Israel's Sa'ar-class corvettes currently considered the Israeli fleet's most advanced surface ships.

The Littoral Combat Ships, under development by the American Lockheed Martin Corp. and General Dynamics, are designed for speed, maneuverability and amphibious operations.

Anti-air, anti-submarine, anti-surface and anti-missile warfare missions, as well as special operations are among the other military capabilities of the battleship.

The LCS is also built as a "brown water" ship intended to carry out military operations in rivers, shallow waters of littoral environments and in depths where there are combined threats from land and sea.

According to a report by the Jerusalem Post, top officers from the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) were dispatched to the United States two weeks ago to sail on the LCS and test the advanced warship's capabilities.

The Israeli navy is expected to be equipped with the LCS by the end of the year, the report adds.

Naval sources, however, have claimed that Israel might have to wait for the $500 million price of the LCS to drop.

"There are a number of possibilities and they are under review," said a source. "There are other possibilities such as more Sa'ar 5s, an upgraded Sa'ar 5 that would be called Sa'ar 5.5, or to wait for the LCS's price to go down."

Lockheed Martin was reportedly asked by the Israeli Navy in February 2006 to perform a feasibility study for a multi-mission LCS variant.

Following the successful completion of the study in April 2007, Israel made a decision to approve the initial funding of two LCS multi-mission ships.

"If acquired by the navy, the LCS would enhance Israel's long-arm capabilities and could be potentially used in a conflict with Iran," the Jpost report claimed.

The report comes amid widespread speculations that an Israeli go-it-alone strike on Iran is in the offing. Analysts maintain that the conflict in the Palestinian territory could spill over to other parts of the Middle East.

On the opening days of the war on Gaza, Former US ambassador to the UN John Bolton confirmed the assumption about the possibility of a new war, saying the Israeli offensive on Gaza could lead to a US attack on Iran.

"So while our focus obviously is on Gaza right now, this could turn out to be a much larger conflict," the hawkish US official told FOX News, adding, "We're looking at potentially a multi-front war."

Bolton added that there is "the possibility of the use of military force possibly by the United States, possibly by Israel," on Iran after the current war.

Before the launch of Israeli ground offensive into Gaza, a top Israeli military adviser said the ground assault was intended to send a message to the enemy in Iran and Lebanon.

"The army has to change its image among its enemies – Iran and Hezbollah – that it is afraid to use ground forces," said Israeli military analyst Efraim Inbar.

Iran completes design phase of stealth aircraft

Tehran Times January 26, 2009

Iran has completed the design phase of its stealth aircraft, the commander of the Iranian Air Force announced here on Sunday.

Iranian military researchers are now working on building small prototypes of the aircraft, Brigadier General Hassan Shah-Safi told reporters in Tehran.

The preliminary stages will be finished in late March and then production will begin, he stated.

Iranian engineers have made a major breakthrough in designing stealth aircraft that are difficult to detect by radar.

Shah-Safi said that the Air Force has also tested a new air-to-air heat-seeking missile manufactured by the Iranian military.

Israel’s invasion of Gaza sets up the United States and any other nation supporting Israel as terror targets, predicts Gerald Celente. The Trends Research Institute Director also warns that should Israel continue the invasion, or take the war beyond Gaza, the world risks both a 1973-style oil shock and global conflict.

“Regardless of whose side you take, what you believe in, who did what to whom and when this is just the latest chapter of ‘Crusades 2000′,” said Celente, who coined the term in 1993 and has written about it extensively. Yet, unlike preceding Crusades confined to the Holy Land, the trend seer says the current violence will spread globally. Armed and Dangerous

World news sources report a Middle East up-in-arms and seething at the lopsided Israeli massacre that has left over 1,000 Palestinians dead, thousands wounded, and Gaza in ruins. In comparison, three Israeli civilians and less than a dozen Jewish soldiers have been killed; scant damage has been inflicted on Israel.

The incessant US media and government message focuses on Israel’s “right to defend itself” while minimizing or ignoring the long sequence of Israeli provocations leading up to its invasion while also failing to cite the real tally from the preceding mutual hostilities. In the months prior to Israel’s December 27th attack, homemade Hamas projectiles fired into Israel killed no one. (Over the past several years prior to the invasion, 13 Israelis were killed by rocket fire. Between 2005 and 2007 alone, the Israeli Defense Force killed 1,290 Palestinians in Gaza, including 222 children.)

Also largely absent from United States war coverage are the contributing factors Palestinians claim precipitated their primitive Qassam rocket launches into Israel. Chief among them, Israel’s 18-month starvation blockade of 1.5 million impoverished Palestinians squeezed into densely populated Gaza (described by the Vatican as “a big concentration camp”) and Israel’s pre- invasion assassination of six Palestinian officials.

According to the Geneva Conventions, the United Nations, the Red Cross, Human Rights Watch and other government and NGOs, Israel’s response has been both disproportionate and illegal. Among the condemnations, Israel’s military has been accused of firing white phosphorus artillery packed shells on civilians. The UN special envoy for human rights accused the Israeli army of ” committing a shocking series of atrocities by using modern weaponry against a defenseless population - attacking a population that has been enduring a severe blockade for many months.”

For its part, since the onset of hostilities, the United States had prevented approval of a UN Security Council statement calling for an immediate cease-fire. And when the United Nations Security Council voted for a “durable and fully respected” cease-fire in the Gaza Strip, “leading to the full withdrawal” of Israel’s forces from the Palestinian territory, the US abstained from voting. (The New York Times reported that Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert “placed a phone call to President Bush” and that “Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice had been forced to abstain” from the UN resolution.)

“Major trends are brewing that if not quickly corrected or stanched, will lead to disaster,” Celente forecasts, citing fears among Israel’s neighbors that they could be the next victims.

“Throughout 2008, reports had been circulating that Israel was planning a military strike against Iran’s major nuclear complex at Natanz, and The New York Times all but confirmed it on January 11th,” Celente said. “While President Bush has made scores of disastrous foreign policy decisions during his reign, he should be congratulated for turning down Israel’s request for specialized bunker-busting bombs needed to take out the nuclear facility.”

An attack on Iran by either Israel or the US will spark the onset of World War III, predicts Celente.

“If oil producers sympathetic to the Palestinian cause cut the flow of oil, or if they cut supply in fear of being the next Israeli target, the world will go from a terrible recession immediately into the ‘Greatest Depression’,” Celente said.

(OPEC used the oil weapon in the 1973 Arab-Israeli War, embargoing the US and other countries who sided with Israel.)

Beyond escalating economic dangers, Washington has placed itself in terror’s bulls-eye Celente said, pointing to last weeks US Senate and House passage offering “unwavering commitment” for Israel. “Today, we reaffirm that Israel, like any nation, has a right to self-defense when under attack,” said House speaker Nancy Pelosi. “The rocket and mortar attacks from Gaza, which were increasing in frequency and range, constituted an unacceptable security threat to which Israel had a responsibility to respond.”

Should Washington continue its “unwavering commitment” to Israel while taking direct measures to destroy Palestinians, Americans should also be aware that those left standing will seek revenge, Celente said. “News reports of US supplied ships bringing munitions to Israel to be used against Palestinians, and Israel’s claims that the UN school they shelled killing some 50 civilians was the fault of a US-supplied weapon malfunction will not be forgotten by those seeking revenge,” said Celente.

GAZA - Blankets of white clouds covered the skies over Gaza, including the refuge camps in Khan Younis, Beit Lahia and Gaza City.On Saturday Israeli F16 warplanes launched attacks using phosphorus bombs on the Block 2 section inside the densely populated Jabalya Refuge Camp.Many residents of Jabalya escaped the area covering their faces, searching for a safe shelter in the home of relatives and friends in the neighboring Beit Lahia from the Israelis "Cast Lead Operation". Gaza has always been the Israelis “testing ground” - from nerve agents used in Khan Younis in 2003, to Sonic Boom “phantom air raids”,and the use of DIME in the Israelis massacre called " Operation Summer Rain" over Gaza year 2006.

In the dark night the terrifying sound of Drones [small, pilot less planes,] can be heard overflying the northern parts of Gaza Strip.Most deaths and injuries from Israelis air strikes, are caused by Drones. Drones are using precise remote-controlled devices to launch missiles against targets.A Drone can launch bombs, also take photos of the small number plates on cars thousands of meters below on the ground, also recognise and track location of the signals from mobile phones.

On Friday,PCHR,the Palestinian Center for Human Rights in Gaza accused in a statement, the Israelis of using phosphorous bombs over Gaza Strip.Raji Sourani, the chairman of PCHR, said that "This is not the first time we [PCHR] have documented the Israelis use of prohibited chemical weapons against the Gaza civilian population.The HRW Human Rights Watch senior analyst Marc Garlasco said in an interview on France Chanel 4 TV that .."Israeli artillery bursted fire of white phosphorous shells over Gaza City."Garlasco said .."I have been standing at the border for the last few days ,watching Israeli artillery firing white phosphorus shells into refugee camps".

On Sunday,the Israeli military denied the accusations saying that "We would not discuss what weapons we are using."I can assure you we do not use any weapons that are prohibited by international law. We know that other nations are using phosphorous bombs,we have the right not to comment on this", the Israeli military spokesperson added.

During the first invasion to Iraq, the US occupation forces used phosphorous bombs against the civilian population in Falluyah. Also the Israelis were accused of using phosphorous bombs against civilian targets in Lebanon during the 2006 Israel war on Lebanon.The Israeli at firsts denied the charges, however when the following investigation overwhelmingly proved and confirmed its findings,the Israelis could not deny the evidences.

The director of the emergency at the Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital in Gaza City,Habas Al-Wahis told journalists 3 years ago that in several cases, the legs and arms of the injured were sliced from their bodies, Al Wahis said - "as if a sharp saw was used to cut through the bone, however there was no evidence of ordinary metal shrapnel in or near the wounds. At the Al Shifa Hospital also in Gaza City, Dr. Juma Saka,said then, in 2006 that, - "our hospital found small entry wounds on the bodies of the dead and wounded, and a powder on the victims’ body, and in their internal organs.

According to Dr, Saka "The powder is like microscopic shrapnel, likely it caused the injuries".Italian journalists from the Ray TV news network,the channel 24, brought samples of soil from Gaza, back to Parma in Italy.The samples was examined by Carmela Vaccaio, a doctor at the University of Parma, and it turned out that the samples had a high concentration of carbon,copper,aluminium and tungsten. "These findings could be in line with the hypothesis that the weapon in question, was a dense inert metal explosive or DIME" said Valesco.

DIME [ Dence Inert Metal Explosive]is a carbon encased missile that shatters into minuscule splinters on the impact.The missile sets off an explosive that burst out,blades of energy-charged,heavy metal tungsten alloy powder, (HMTA), such as cobalt and nickel or iron, with a carbon fibre casing.At the impact the material turns into dust, as it loses inertia very quickly due to air resistance, burning and destroying everything within a 4 metre range, as opposed to shrapnel which results from the fragmentation of a metal casing.

The metal is designated "inert", because it is not involved in the actual blast, and not because it is chemically or biologically inert. In many cases, findings, have been made by doctors,that their patients during the first days of the impact, apparently in recovery, will die a sudden death after one or two days. "We do not know what it means, if this is new weapons or something added to a previous weapon " said Saied Joudda, the deputy director at the Kamal Edwan hospital in Beit Lahia.These injuries were first seen in July 2006,after that the Israelis launched a massive military offensive against Gaza one month earlier, at the end of June, the Israelis had killed at least 286 Palestinians and injured over4,200, according to Gaza governmental emergency services estimations

Tungsten, the main material that would stray outside of the target zone, is also said to be highly carcinogenic and harmful to the environment.According to New Scientist magazine, John Kalinich’s team at the Armed Forces Radio biology Research Institute in Maryland said, that in a study designed to simulate shrapnel injuries, pellets of weapons-grade tungsten alloy were implanted in 92 rats. Within five months all the animals developed a rare cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma.The carcinogenic effects of HMTA have been studied by the US Armed Forces since at least 2000 (along with depleted uranium). These alloys were found to cause neoplastic transformations of human osteoblast cells.

Dr. Mark Witten, a cancer researcher from the University of Arizona, said he was concerned about the possible links between tungsten and leukaemia. "My opinion is that there is a need for much more research on the health effects of tungsten ,before the military increases its usage," he said.Later, in a statement issued,the Israelis denied the use of DIME weapons, adding that "Due to operational reasons, the IOF [Israeli Occupation Forces] cannot specify the types and use of weapons in its possession."

The UN's accusation that Israel used white phosphorus shells in its attack on its headquarters in Gaza was the first direct charge by an international body and, in effect, accuses the Israeli government of lying over its repeated declaration that its forces adhere to international laws in the use of arms.

The attack on the UN headquarters in Gaza City has been internationally condemned. Any proof that white phosphorus shells were used would add to the call for Israel's military forces to be charged with war crimes.

Chris Gunness, a spokesman for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), claimed within hours of the attack that three such shells were responsible for injuries to three of its employees. While it is not illegal to use different types of white phosphorus shells as a tactical weapon – usually to create a smokescreen ahead of advancing troops or for illumination at night – the Geneva Treaty of 1980 specifically bans it use in densely populated areas because it can cause severe burns.

The Israelis admitted they had used white phosphorus against "military targets" on open ground during the Lebanese war of 2006. The US and Britain also used the weapons mixed with high explosives – so-called "shake and bake" – in Iraq. American forces in particular used white phosphorus in the second siege of Fallujah in 2004 but insisted that it had been used only for illumination purposes.
The charge that the Israelis were using white phosphorus in the current conflict surfaced soon after the start of the air offensive on 27 December. The Israeli military responded with what has been their standard line – "Israel uses munitions that are allowed for under international law".

Yesterday, a spokesman for the defence ministry in Jerusalem said the claims were under investigation but reiterated that Israeli forces continued to follow the policy of abiding by international law in the use of weapons. However, Human Rights Watch said its experts in the region had witnessed the use of white phosphorus.

Kenneth Roth, the organisation's executive director, added: "This is a chemical compound that burns structures and burns people. It should not be used in populated areas.

"Even if Israel might have some minor chemical variation of white phosphorus so that the thing they're using has a new name, the effect is absolutely the same."

However, asked on Wednesday specifically whether there was evidence of injuries to civilians caused by such weapons, the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Jakob Kellenberger, who had just returned from a trip to Gaza City said his organisation had found "no evidence" of that. He added: "We have officials at Shifa Hospital and they have not come across injuries which could be proved to be from white phosphorus. This is just from one hospital, but it is the largest hospital in Gaza."

There were reports yesterday that remnants of a white phosphorus shell, identified by the marking M825A1 on the outer casing, had been found at Sheikh Ajilin village in western Gaza. Local people said the shell was fired on 9 January and recalled seeing thick smoke and noticing a garlic-like smell, which is consistent with the use of white phosphorus. Robert Emerson, a military analyst, said: "The Geneva Act leaves areas of confusion on this. It says white phosphorus should not be used against targets in densely populated areas.

"However, a shell meant to explode in the air may go astray and hit civilians. Similarly, a shell used against military targets in relatively open ground can cause collateral damage.

"However, questions are obviously being asked about the UN attack and the [Israeli Defence Forces] may have to think again about their whole policy on white phosphorus if it is indeed proved that white phosphorus was used on this occasion."

View from Gaza: The ambulance driver

Sharon Lock, an Australian from the International Solidarity Movement, was working as an ambulance driver for the Palestinian Red Crescent when its Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City came under Israeli attack yesterday.

"One shell landed outside the building about 10 yards from the incubators for new babies. We were putting fires out with buckets of water. The shrapnel seems to burn for a long time and it starts fires if it is not put out. We were just dealing with that when we heard shooting from the front steps of the hospital and my colleague Mohammed came to me covered with blood. 'Israelis are shooting at people who are leaving their houses,' he said. What happened was that a father and mother and two daughters had left their home, one of the daughters had gone missing and the other was shot. The bullet went through one cheek and out the other. As the father was coming up the steps he fell, shot as well. They didn't know where the other daughter was. Mohammed and I decided to go out and find her. We found her hiding in a house. I would say she was about nine. She was very frightened.”

RAMALLAH - "There is no doubt that Israel is using phosphorus bombs over Gaza. Israel is flagrantly violating the Fourth Geneva Convention," says Raji Sourani, head of the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) in Gaza.

"This is not the first time we have documented Israel using this kind of prohibited weapon against Gaza's civilian population," Sourani told IPS on phone from Gaza.

Human Rights Watch (HRW) confirmed Sourani's assessment in a statement it released on Friday. Its researchers said they had seen "multiple air-bursts of artillery-fired white phosphorus over Gaza city."

"I've been on the border for the last few days watching the Israeli artillery firing white phosphorus shells into refugee camps," Marc Garlasco, senior military analyst at HRW told France TV channel 24.

This is the Islamabad Marriott in reverse–a mirror image of the traumatic events of 911 and the attack on Islamabad. Just a few days ago, in a bizarre and goulish expression of glee, Indians made fun of the ills of Pakistan. In her darkest hour, during the destruction of the Islamabad Marriot, many (not all) Indians left messages of outright happiness on this site and on Pakistani and inernational forums all over the world. A majority of Indian media was also cruel and did not diplay any compassion for either the victims or for Pakistan. This was a huge paradox for many Pakistanis traumatized by the destruction of one of the icons of Islamabad. Many Indians inform Pakistanis that “we are one people”. Pakistanis mutter under their breath– only enemies laugh at the misfortunes of the residents of Islamabad.

The exact happened happend on the day that the terrorists attacked the hotels in Mumbai. There was no jubilation in Pakistan–only sympathy for India and Indians.

The long term impact of the terror is yet to be determined, but in the eyes of the world, India is not separate and distinct from Afghanistan and the rest of West Asia. Neither is it immune to random acts of terror. What afflicts Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan also afflicts India.

The Indian cricket leagues are in jeopardy.

When cricket teams refused to come to Pakistan, India used it as an opportunity to sell itself as a more peaceful spot. Already the repurcussions have started. Today almost all cricket teams coming to India have canceled their trip. Australia and the UK are not going to India.

With more than 1000 dead and injured the heart of Mumbai has been tarnished. Since 911 there has been been a fire from the Nile and it has been spreading Eastwards to the Euphrates, the AMu Darya and the India. India is now part of the fire from the Litani river to the Ganges.

Pakistani, American, European and world capitals were quick to condemn the terror in Mumbai. Simultaneously US and EU embassies issues warnings to their citizens and stopped them from visiting India. Most of the sports events have been canceled and Australian and other cancellations are expected.

Defense Teams for jailed Saudi Activists Are observing and Calling for a Two-Day Hunger Strike To Show Solidarity with Detainees and To Support Their Human Rights

Saudi Justice system and legal procedures (e.g., Criminal Procedure and Arrest and Detention Laws) had failed to render just judgments to jailed Saudi human-right activists who have been arrested with no official indictments, and incarcerated indefinitely in solitary confinements with no right for an attorney or access to habeas corpus. After exerting all means to get fair treatments to the constitutional movement’s detainees, the defense teams decided to observe a 48-hour hunger strike. The proposed strike will take place on Thursday and Friday, 6-7 November 2008, in protest against flagrant human-right violations for all detainees in Saudi prisons who have been deprived of their basic rights as guaranteed by Criminal Procedure Law and Arrest and Detention Law, which stated the following:

1. The Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution shall conduct its investigation and prosecution in accordance with its Law and the implementing regulations thereof (Article 14).

2. During the investigation, the accused shall have the right to seek the assistance of a representative or an attorney (Article 64)…... to defend him during the investigation and trial stages (Article 4).

3. An arrested person shall not be subjected to any bodily or moral harm. Similarly, he shall not be subjected to any torture or degrading treatment (Article 2).

4. Whoever is arrested or detained shall be promptly notified of the reasons for his arrest or detention and shall be entitled to communicate with any person of his choice to inform him of his arrest (Article 116).

5. In all cases, the Investigator shall order that the accused may not communicate with any other prisoner or detainee, and that he not be visited by anyone (i.e., solitary confinements) for a period not exceeding sixty days if the interest of the investigation so requires, without prejudice to the right of the accused to communicate with his representative or attorney (Article 119).

6. In cases that require detention for a longer period, the matter shall be referred to the Director of the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution to issue an order that the arrest be extended for a period or successive periods none of which shall exceed thirty days and their aggregate shall not exceed six months from the date of arrest of the accused. Thereafter, the accused shall be directly transferred to the competent court, or be released (Article 114).

7. Court hearings shall be public (Article 155). The judgment shall be read in an open session at which the parties must be present……. supporting evidence and arguments, the stages of the action, the text of the judgment, reasons and legal bases therefore, and whether it was rendered unanimously or by majority vote (Article 182).

8. A visitation right for prisoners by their family members, friends and legal counselors (Arrest and Detention Law, Article 12)

We declared our observance of a hunger strike in solidarity with following jailed human-right activists from the constitutional movement and civil society in Saudi Arabia:

1. Professor Matrook H. Al-Faleh, political science professor at King Saud University in Riyadh, detained by security forces in May 19, 2008.

2. Attorney Suliman Ibrahim Al-Reshoudi, former judge and human-right advocate, detained in February 2, 2007.

3. Attorney Dr. Mousa Mohammed Al-Qarni, former university professor and human-right activist, detained in February 2, 2007.

4. Professor Abdulrahman Abdullah Al-Shomairy, former professor of education and human-right activist, detained in February 2, 2007.

5. Dr. Abdulaziz Suliman Al-Khereiji, human-right activist, detained in February 2, 2007.

Many activists have answered our call (their names will be announced at a later date), and they will participate in the proposed 48-hour hunger strike during the two specified dates to show their objection against the repeated violations of the criminal and detention laws vis-à-vis jailed activists. Our demand is quite simple: either to set the detainees free or instantly grant them fair and public trials.

We welcome all activists and citizens who have conscious feelings and interested in participating in the proposed hunger strike to show sympathy and solidarity with all detainees whose basic rights have been violated. Sarah Palin–Israel’s ‘Bitch’

‘Bitch’–It’s an ugly word, for sure, and not one I am accustomed to using as cavalierly as some might imagine here. I always winced when I heard it growing up as a kid, mostly because I always held women in such high respect and because I was sure that in 9 out of 10 cases where the word was used it was most likely unjustified. After all, they–women–are the bringers of life and who civilize us (hopefully) through their influence in the home. Can you imagine what a mess the world would be in if it was the guys raising the children instead of the gals? The kids would speak in mono-syllabic grunts rather than full sentences and would settle all issues with their fists instead of their mouths and brains.

So my use of the word ‘bitch’ comes with a LOT of hesitation, believe me. Mz. Palin is the mother of 5 children, and for that she deserves mucho respecto as far as I’m concerned. She–like a good number of women in the ‘Christian’ west these days–could have kneeled at the communion rail of Roe V Wade on many occasions, including when she learned her most recent child would be born with Down’s Syndrome. Instead, she elected to have the chalice pass from her lips, much to the rage of feminists who pay to have their children killed for matters of simple convenience in what has become something of a sacramental rite in America these days, God help us. Despite what I consider to be her seriously-misguided religious ideas concerning Israel and the Jews, I’m sure had she been around in a better time period in this nation’s history–meaning a time when the Jewish state and her spies DID NOT dominate our political system–she would have been a great stateswoman.

Let me clarify further–I use that ‘b’ word in describing her not because she stomps around barking out orders at those around her, complaining about this and that and generally making life hell for everyone in her vicinity. In this case, the word ‘bitch’ encompasses that other use of the word we hear so much these days, meaning ‘whore’, or someone willing to lower herself (or himself) into doing immoral, degrading, and life-threatening things for a fistful of dollars, or, as in the case of our elected representatives, a fistful of political power. As she demonstrated to the world in the last few weeks since her nomination as Republican VP, she–like a streetwalker negotiating with a prospective client over what services she’s willing to perform and for what price–has let it be known she is willing to go ‘all the way’ with Israel’s demands, regardless of how raunchy or immoral these demands are. Not only towing the line with regards to the fatal myth that the Jews are ‘God’s chosen’ and endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights, namely stealing the real estate between the two ‘great rivers’ of the Nile and the Euphrates as well as the right to murder anyone they see fit at anytime they so decide, she has also embraced the other fatal myths of our modern times as well–that Iraq was responsible for 9/11 and that Iran must be stopped at all costs from ‘wiping Israel off the map’. She calls herself ‘pro-life’ but in perfect Zionist double-speak has signaled she will use her office to rain down death on millions, possible even billions of innocent people and all of it for the ‘Jewish cause’. She calls herself a Christian and yet has promised Israel that the Jewish state will continue receiving her daily diet of 15 million dollars from good ole Uncle Sam so she can continue de-Christianizing the land made sacred by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and in general making life for the Palestinians there a living hell.

And if these weren’t bad enough, Mz. Palin has now gone on record saying that war with Russia is a real likelihood, and not ‘war’ as in the ‘cold’ one but rather the real deal, just as the Neocons have wanted since Trotsky and his gang were ousted from power in the early 20th century.

And so, at least in the political sense, Palin IS a whore, or, using the less-polite language of gangstaz and gangsta-wannabes, ‘a bitch’. By her own admission, she will do anything, no matter how dirty, degrading or immoral it is so that Israel and her supporters ‘get off’ the only way they can, which is through bloodshed, the suffering of innocent people and corruption of otherwise healthy political systems. And in the event some don’t like my choice of racy words here, remember this–I am only following the example set forth by the man destined to replace the aging, swelling John Hagee as Supreme Pontiff of the Christian Zionist movement, none other than pastor Rod Parsley himself, John McCains’s ‘spiritual mentor’ who used the very same racy verbiage when he, speaking about America’s proclivity towards killing Muslims exclaimed like a seasoned snake-handler speaking in tongues ‘We’re bred for battle!…We get off on war!!!

Putting this in better perspective, consider the fact that Palin ‘the patriot’ (as she is now being fashioned by the Jewish mass media in America) is throwing her support behind a Marxist-founded state that has–

1. Blown up American buildings in Egypt in what was known as the Lavon Affair…

2. Attacked a United States ship, the USS Liberty, resulting in the deaths of 34 American sailors with the intention of sinking her so Egypt could be blamed and WWIII started between the US and the USSR…

3. Played an active part in the bombing of the US marine barracks in Lebanon in 1983, resulting in the deaths of almost 250 servicemen…

4. Plotted to assassinate George HW Bush at the Madrid peace conference in 1991 in order to–surprise, surprise–’blame the Arabs’…

5. Stole America’s most sensitive national security secrets from her spy Jonathon Pollard and then sold them to America’s enemies at that time, the USSR. If indeed America finds herself at war with Russia as Israel would like to see take place, no doubt these secrets will be used to better kill America’s young men and women, assuming of course that it remains a war solely outside the confines of the US, which is highly doubtful…

6. Played an indispensable role in the attacks of 9/11, so much so that hundreds–let me repeat for emphasis–HUNDREDS of Israeli spies were arrested, some in circumstances as incriminating as filming the Twin Towers coming down and cheering and who later admitted on Israeli TV that they were ‘sent to document the event’…

…and this is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg. One day, after this mess is all over and assuming the US has not been reduced to ashes following a nuclear war, there will be an entire wing of the Library of Congress devoted to the problems this nation has endured as a result of Israel and her influence over our affairs.

And this folks is the ugly truth concerning Palin. As I said, were these better times, I would be getting all hot and bothered about her candidacy too, but the fact is that she is there for one reason and one reason only, which is to get an otherwise unelectable John McCain elected president so that the Jews can have the other wars they have scheduled, meaning Iran, Syria and Russia. You can bet your last dollar that were she not ‘right with God’, meaning were she the least bit contrary to Israel and the demands of the Jewish state, be it the war in the Middle East or whatever, she would remain in that obscure, out of the way place and no one would know Jack Squat about her.

The other thing of course to consider, but unmentioned up to this point, is the fact that I am not the only one saying this about her, that she is ‘Israel’s Bitch’, and this is where it gets REALLY ugly. The fact is, this is what the Jewish state and her supporters think of her, their public comments notwithstanding. Yes, guys such as Brooks and Lieberman and all the others may at present be swooning and fawning all over her as if she were Esther reborn, but to them she is just a piece of gentile meat created by God to serve the Jews, what they refer to in their own parlance as a ‘Shiksa’.

Yes, that’s right, all you conservative, bible-believing Christians out there who think that the Jews have finally ‘come around’ and seen the light with regards to the things near and dear to our conservative hearts pertaining to protecting the unborn, the Constitution and ‘family values’ as we define them, the fact is this–She is just another Britney, Madonna, or any other Barbie doll-creation of the Jewish mass media. She–like they–has been shoved out on the stage where–politically-speaking–she bats her eyes, moans and groans, suggestively rubs her hands over her body, wiggles and jiggles and bumps and grinds in front of us and all in the interest of keeping us excited, excitable, and distracted from what the hell is really going on in the world.

And make no mistake about it. All the praise they are heaping on her right now will be short-lived. Keep in mind how the Jews welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem as a king, shouting ‘Hosanna to God in the Highest’ and laying palm leaves in His path and then a week later these same creatures were calling for him to be crucified and the murderer Barabbas released.

No, once Palin has been used for their purposes, meaning once they have gotten from her what they want (meaning getting warmonger John McCain elected to the presidency) the ‘honeymoon’ will be over and she will be told to ‘get the f*** out of here bitch’ just as they would to any ordinary whore whose services were no longer required.

And the real truth is, Mz. Palin has a lot more to worry about than simply being ‘removed’ from the political scene by any scandals that may develop around her. Washington DC–a veritable outpost (in both the literal and figurative sense) of Meyer Lansky’s Murder Inc–has become a gangland where individuals live and die based upon whether they are worth more dead than alive to the powers-that-be. It may very well turn out that what is REALLY planned here is the classic one-two knockout punch, meaning Palin gets McCain elected, and then, batta-bing/batta bang/BATTA-BOOM–she is assassinated by some ‘Islamic terrorist’ and McCain makes Lieberman his VP (which was the original plan anyway) and then when Little Johnnie has some ‘accident’ befall him, Lieberman becomes prez, America falls into Israel’s hands like a ripened fruit and thus all impediments removed from the Jewish state getting what she really wants. Remember–we are talking about people here who believe they are the embodiment of God and who have–not just the capability of doing the worst, but rather the proclivity. After all, lest we forget, it is the Talmud itself, the engine that drives these people and their agenda that states “Tob shebe goyyim harog’, meaning “Even the best among the Gentiles deserves to be killed.’

And so, my fellow Americans, fellow humans, lovers of peace and justice, if you think my opinion and the language used in expressing this opinion too harsh concerning that ‘good Christian woman’ Mz. Palin who is most likely destined to be our next vice president (at least until her motorcade is blown up by Al Qaeda) what I say in my defense is thus–I am tired of the non-stop political pornography we see these days…, sick of seeing bitch after bitch after bitch paraded out before us who degrade themselves and degrade what is supposed to be their sacred duties to our nation by whoring themselves out for the benefit of the Madame of the house, Israel. I am sick to the point of vomiting over the manner our elected officials–who swore an oath to be faithful to America, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in heath, for better or for worse till death do us part as they take turns getting down on their knees and or on all fours and then perform whatever disgusting services are demanded of them by the Jewish state, an insatiable nymphomaniac for political power that never seems to get her fill. I am sick of America suffering from all the ills-political, social, cultural or whatnot, resulting from the legion of venereal diseases we have contracted through our illicit, immoral intercourse with the Jewish state. We have become a sterile, barren woman whose womb is so polluted through immoral behavior that it can no longer produce any life for our nation, meaning peace, prosperity and political stability. I long for the by-gone days of fidelity and continence of American political life, where America was first, second and third in the hearts and minds of our leaders instead of them putting the interests of a terrorist state ahead of our own. I lament the day that men like George Washington, John Adams and others–men who would never have consented to sell their country for 30 pieces of silver to ANY interest nor allow the governing infrastructure of America to be infested with spies and saboteurs as it exists today–were replaced with the likes of George Bush, John McCain and the rest.

It is something we are going to have to decide folks–we are either going to have America as a beacon of light where Lady Liberty runs the show or a brothel dominated by whores for Israel, and as one wise man once said, ‘You cannot serve two masters, for you will either love the one and hate the other or hate the one or love the other.’

For myself, this latest creation in the person of Mz. Palin leaves much to be desired, no matter how low she is willing to go in debasing herself in what has become the Zionist Burlesque Revue. Give me someone not as easy on the eyes but whose love for America does not take 2nd place to the interests of a foreign power and who understands that when she takes that oath of office, what she is really saying to America is ‘for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in heath, for better or for worse till death do us part.’

Israel–like a hungry vulture perched high on a tree branch watching as two enemies below go at each other’s throats until their mutual destruction brings her an easy meal–is once again up to her old tricks in keeping the artificial Islamo-Christian war she helped produce on 9/11 at the very top of her agenda.

Not content with the bloodshed (1,000,000 + deaths and counting) she has already orchestrated in Iraq and Afghanistan through her network of spies in America and elsewhere, Israel is demanding this carnage be widened to include Iran, Syria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, or wherever Muslims can be found in high numbers. The fact that such a war involving the industrialized Christian West (with its 1+billion inhabitants) and the oil-rich Islamic world (with its 1+billion adherents) can only end in disaster for the rest of civilization is as they say a ‘no-brainer’, and yet Israel (being the irrational, self-absorbed, obsessed character she is) continues operating under the dictum ‘My way or the highway’.

The reason for the Jewish state demanding such a war take place between the Christian and Islamic worlds is a no-brainer as well, despite the appallingly-low number of persons aware of it these days. Zionism–in contravention to the high-minded rhetoric its supporters use in trying to ‘lipstick’ a pig to 1st place in a beauty contest is not an ideology limited simply to the affairs of some tiny sliver of land on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean sea. The ideology driving the great experiment in Jewish self-rule is fanaticism as pure and undiluted as ever such a thing existed. Based as it is upon the irrational, dangerous, and chauvinistic Old Testament fantasy that the creator of all plucked one tiny, seemingly insignificant microbe of humans out from the midst of inferior beings, set them apart and conferred upon them royal status and a mandate to rule the world, such a theme would be laughed out of town were it to involve any group of people other than the Jews.

In plainer language, what it means is that there really are nutcases in the post-enlightenment/21st century who (despite what would otherwise be the edifying and therapeutic effects of reason and common sense) nevertheless truly believe in all that nonsense about one small, backwards tribe of people destined by the Almighty to ‘inherit the earth’ and ‘make footstools’ of all their Gentile enemies.

And with these things in plain view then, the ‘reasoning’ behind Israel’s engineering of such a conflict between the Christian and Islamic worlds ceases to be any mystery. It is ‘strictly business’ as Michael Corleone said in the movie The Godfather, a case of Judaism (obsessed with its own messianic destiny and bent on world domination) having two competitors eliminate each other, leaving her the only viable player on the field.

Now, in furtherance of this obsession (and just ahead of the US presidential elections, by the way) Israel has begun ramping up things with an eye towards throwing even more gasoline on an already out-of-control fire consuming the world.

In early September the Jewish state–superficially created as ‘God’s divine remedy’ to the worst crimes mankind is disposed towards committing, (meaning bigotry, intolerance and–lest we forget, the mother of all sins–anti-Semitism) nevertheless announced it was sponsoring an upcoming festival of hatred dedicated to promoting that other form of politically-correct ‘anti-Semitism’ that no one hears anything about these days, and not just any old, run-of-the-mill anti-Semitism, but rather the ‘real McCoy’–meaning against Arabs and Muslims.

Entitled “Facing Jihad: A Lawmaker’s Summit” , the meeting is to be held at (where else?) the Knesset. To date dozens of European parliamentarians–whether for reasons of blackmail or bribery–have promised to attend. Israel–with a straight face and summoning up all the chutzpah she is legendary for possessing–announced that the purpose of the conference is (get ready for this) “the formation of a new Judeo-Christian alliance to confront the spread of Islam and the violence that inevitably follows in its wake.”

To those with eyes to see and with 3 functioning brains cells, several things concerning the upcoming Jewish/Christian kissey-face confab stick out like a whore in a red dress at a first communion ceremony, the first being the hypocrisy of it all. One need not sprain any intellectual hamstrings in imagining the howls that would echo all over God’s green earth if instead of such a conference being held at the Knesset it were held at Ahmadinejhad’s parliament and instead of being ‘Judeo-Christian’ in nature it was Christians and Muslims getting together to discuss the topic of Judaism and its megalomaniacal political arm, Zionism.

Those having difficulty imagining such howling should consider that as it is right now the rest of the Gentile world is already subjected to a daily barrage of shrieking, wailing and gnashing of teeth whenever someone from amongst the self-chosenites stubs a toe in a manner that can be blamed on hatred, prejudice or ‘anti-Semitism’. The truth of the matter however (although NEVER discussed) is that the Jewish state is the ULTIMATE testimony to ‘anti-Semitism,’ past, present, and (most likely, considering the scope of the war against Islam) future. It is ‘Anti-Semitism Central’, the headquarters of ‘Anti-Semitism Inc’ (and in some respects similar to Ponce De Leon’s mythical spring that brought eternal youth) the fountain from which all poisonous anti-Semitic waters flow. The very existence of the Jewish state is intrinsically bound up with hatred for Semites, so much so that without it she would lose her identity and cease to exist. And lest some think this anti-Semitism on the part of the Jewish state against the native peoples living in the area is a relatively new phenomenon that began with the birth of this Frankenstein child back in the 20th century, a trip down memory lane should clear things up PDQ.

Lest it be forgotten, Israel’s hatred of Semites began with Abraham’s jealous, barren wife Sarah forcing the Semite slave girl Hagar and her son Ishmael (Abraham’s own son) to wander out into the desert in the hopes they would both die of thirst and exposure. From there it moves on to stealing all the gold and silver of the Semitic Egyptians before high-tailing it into the land ‘promised’ to them by their God Yahweh and the subsequent slaughter of every living creature (man, woman, child, sheep, goat, ox, cow, bull, etc) peaceably residing in 31 villages. And last, (but certainly not least) is the drunken, orgiastic mass murder of 75,000 innocent Persian civilians as described in the book of Esther and recounted every year in the Jewish religious festival of Purim.

And absent all of this of course there is recent history to ponder, which, when considering what has been done to the Palestinians, Lebanese, Iraqis and all the other true Semites in the region (to say nothing of the fact that Israel proudly claims to have developed a form of biological warfare targeting persons genetically Semitic) it can be safely assumed that the official policy of the Jewish state from the beginning is that Semites should die in as high numbers as possible.

Therefore no one should be particularly surprised to learn the Jewish state would host such a gathering of, well, for lack of a better word, Nazis. If it can be said that the despised Hitler was not the originator of racial supremacism (coupled with racial hatred of inferiors) but rather that he borrowed his ideas from someone else and then improved on them, the truth of the matter is that he was but a student and learned his ‘anti-Semitism’ from the real master, meaning the Jews and their historical hatred for the peoples of the desert.

The other facet concerning the conference statement that screams out like a smashed cat is the wording that speaks of the ‘inevitable’ violence of Islam. Besides the fact that it is a deliberate attempt on the part of Jewish interests at mischaracterizing Islam, the more important thing is the (surprise, surprise) hypocrisy of it all. In an age where all persons are expected to be ‘sensitive’ to the beliefs of others (no matter how irrational or obnoxious such beliefs are) Israel and her partisans certainly do not afford Islam or its adherents that same courtesy. Clearly what Israel is trying to affect here is the perception in the mind of the Christian world that the moral resistance the Arabs have waged against a lawless, bloodthirsty Jewish state that murders not only innocent men, women and children, but as well sheep, goat, ox, cow, bull, etc as the Israelites of old did is all a product of ‘Islamo-Fascism’ or some other non-sensical, inane Judaistic construct that cannot bear even the slightest weight of intellectual scrutiny.

And of course, last but certainly not least, is the preposterous idea that there is, was or ever could be anything akin to a ‘Judeo-Christian’ alliance of ANY sort as Israel is proposing. Of all the ‘goyim’ out there, Christians are hated the worst by the Jews and this is no theory. Jewish antagonism towards Jesus Christ, His teachings and His followers was self-evident from the very beginning when a mob of God’s chosen drove Christ to the edge of a cliff and tried to throw him over, continued throughout His 3 years of trying to rehabilitate a basically unregenerate, degenerate people and then culminated in His arrest, sham trial and murder. Since those heady days, Judaism has taken its organic hatred for all things Christian and run it through a process of distillation and purification the results of which are plain to see today. What other religious group has its leader depicted in the annals of Judaism as a sexual pervert and the product of an illicit encounter between a Roman centurion and a menstruating prostitute named Miriam the hairdresser? Mohammed, Buddha, and the other leaders associated with the world’s greater religions are not depicted as boiling in a mixture of semen and feces as punishment for disobeying the Rebbe, nor are they mocked on a regular basis as Jesus is, both within the pages of the Jewish Talmud or in Israeli society. The very notion that such a thing as this ‘Judeo-Christian’ alliance could exist is so preposterous on its face that a rational person should laugh himself silly at the thought of it. It is like some strange creation cooked up in the lab of a mad scientist, where a wolf and sheep are brought together in the form of some hybrid that is not viable, given the organically-contradictory predator/prey natures of the two animals.

Judeo-Christian alliance? Kindly allow a translation of this strange language and the accompanying fine print for the hearing and learning impaired–

The Jews are going to give the Christian world the honor of fighting and dying for the Jewish state as her personal ‘nigga’ in much the same way as Joshua in the Old Testament decided not to exterminate the Gibeonites in exchange for them becoming ‘hewers of wood and carriers of water’ for God’s chosen people.

Now, fanning the flames of what theologians and historians alike will one day call the battle of Armageddon, Israel has been found right in the thick of furthering this unprecedented disaster. In this case, somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 million DVDs of the documentary “Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West” were inserted into 70 of the largest newspapers circulating in America and distributed throughout the country. Predictably, given the title of the film, the documentary features (among other things) cherry-picked scenes of Muslim children being encouraged to become suicide bombers interspersed with–surprise, surprise–half century-old footage of Nazi rallies and the obligatory constant references to Hitler and his infamous book Mein Kampf.

No one should be surprised to hear that the film and its mass distribution are the handiwork of Israeli partisans and Mossad assets. The film was written and produced by Israel’s own Rabbi Raphael Shore in 2006 under the auspices of his Mossad-connected group The Clarion Fund, a tax-exempt group linked with other Mossad-connected organizations such as CAMERA, (Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America) and MEMRI (Middle East Media Research Institute, founded by former Mossad officer that provides “translations“ of news stories appearing in Arabic-speaking countries.

Further underscoring the film’s pro-Israel/anti-Islamic agenda, it features commentary from some of the ‘heavy-hitters’ in the Muslim bashing community including Alan M. Dershowitz, Steven Emerson, Brigitte Gabriel, Martin Gilbert, Caroline Glick, John Loftus, Daniel Pipes, Walid Shoebat, as well as interviews with Israeli officials.

In the event some may have forgotten, Pipes has made a name for himself as an “expert“ on Islam and is quoted saying (among many other things) quite a few memorable gems that would have brought the death sentence were it said by anyone else but a Jew about Muslims such as “All immigrants bring exotic customs and attitudes, but Muslim customs are more troublesome than most. West European societies are unprepared for the massive immigration of brown-skinned peoples cooking strange foods and not exactly maintaining Germanic standards of hygiene”, as well as his more recent (but equally infamous) “I worry very much from the Jewish point of view that the presence, and increased stature, and affluence, and enfranchisement of American Muslims…will present true dangers to American Jews.”

Again, the hypocrisy and double-standard is so thick that a 747 could be landed on it. Any other person of any other stripe saying such things about Jews would be ‘Mel Gibsoned’ into oblivion, meaning their lives run through the meat grinder. And yet, when it is done to Arabs and Muslims, not a peep, not a whimper, and particularly not since Emperium Judaica (with its comparatively insignificant figure of 12-15 million members) has like some gypsy pick-pocket stolen the term ‘anti-Semite’ solely for itself which its members employ like a well-honed/well-rehearsed/overused fake limp from an injury that never occurred whenever someone dares point out the organic and endemic shortcomings of the Jewish collective as demonstrated both by history and by current events.

Of course, tragically, many who receive the DVD in their newspaper and consume its poison will inevitably succumb to its narcotic and mind-destroying effects. Those found sitting on the fence as it were with regards to who they will vote for come November will most likely find themselves pulling the lever for McCain/Palin as the “most qualified choice” in fighting the non-existent boogey-man Jewish groups refer to as “Islamo-fascism”, not realizing that their action is but a carefully-planned maneuver as much so as a fish biting greedily down on a worm-covered hook.

What people can expect is that the film will not go into a deeper discussion of other factors as well, such as Islam’s reverence for Jesus, who is mentioned dozens of times in the Koran compared to Mohammed who is mentioned only 5.
Equally though and more important is the fact that no doubt the film– despite its name, “Obsession”–will fail to explore the truly obsessive, irrational, violent, usurious religion of Judaism and its political offshoot known as Zionism, which teach that non-Jews are animals created in human form to serve the Jews and who may be treated in any manner as befits the betterment of Jewish lives. It will fail to mention that Judaism is the truest, most radical example of ‘Jihad’ that has ever existed throughout history, whether in reality or in the imaginations of obsessive minds and is bent on enslaving the world to its particular brand of “Sharia” that all hear so much about when Islam is being discussed.

And, sadly, like sheep being led to slaughter, a good number of Christians in America–although thinking they are doing “the Lord’s work” by voting for John McCain–will in effect give the vulture Israel what she wanted all along and this will wind up being signatories to their own political, cultural and, tragically, physical destruction.

As much as the ‘strictly business’ reasons for Israel’s obsession with the present Christian/Islamic war can be said to be ugly, the sad truth is that it does not end there. In ‘polite‘ societies, what is not spoken is the ‘personal’ reasons that the Jews want Islam and Christianity destroyed, and it is rooted in plain old, unsophisticated envy.

The ugly truth of the matter is that Judaism–trying to win a beauty contest with the other two beautiful gals on stage, meaning Christianity and Islam–doesn’t stand a chance. As much as the judges have been bribed and threatened to vote her in as Miss Universe, the fact is that no magic spells or potions can undo the fact that a pig in lipstick is till a pig. The religion of the Jews has nothing to show for its 3,000 year history except human misery, both on the part of it followers and its victims. People do not flock to its precepts the way they do to Christianity and Islam. All its monuments are those dedicated to the suffering of innocent people. All its major religious ceremonies deal with evils done to Gentiles. It can point to NO great civilizations and NO great discoveries that led to the betterment of mankind. All it has is a book that details the exploits of its people in robbing, cheating, and killing those who suffered the unenviable lot of living in their vicinity.

On the other hand, go anywhere in the world and the evidence of Islam as a vibrant, thriving ideology is apparent. At one time it was not just A world power, but THE world power. Through its learning and science, it brought Christian Europe out of the dark ages and helped bring forth the much-celebrated Renaissance. Indeed, civilization would not be what it is today were it not for the superior learning and culture of Islam. Dittoes with Christianity, that has over a billion followers worldwide in every country around the world. Out of the three religions originating out of the Middle East, Islam, Christianity and Judaism, the first two have contributed great things to civilization whereas Judaism has as much as possible glommed onto its more productive competitors. The Christians and Muslims do not have as THE source of their identity thousands of years of ‘poisecution’ as do the Jews. They do not have a list a mile long of all the countries where their followers have been kicked out, or, more accurately, vomited out. Not only able to stand on their own 2 feet, but able as well to contribute something to the benefit of fellow man, Judaism cannot make the same claim without some serious twisting of reality. Its followers have never been able to create a stable social system, much less a country due to the fact that it–the religion of the Jews–produces a backwards, contrarian mindset that is not conducive to cooperation, progress or political/social stability. This being the case means that the Christian and Muslim worlds that have collectively existed now for thousands of years are a thorn in the eye of ‘Judaic’ civilization that for the most part is noted only for its infamous ghettos, its organic criminality and now, as in the case of Israel, its radioactive/corrosive character and with it the tendency to make healthy political/social tissue surrounding it sick.

In other words, the pig trying to win the beauty contest–rather than compete on her own merits–instead breaks the legs of one of her competitors and throws battery acid in the face of the other in order to ‘even the odds’ in her favor. In the absence of that, she sets up a fight between the two so that at the end of it all their beauty has been marred with cuts, bruises and contusions.

Perhaps it was said best in an email to this writer a few years ago by an incautious Israeli teenager in an email he sent saying–

”I am a Jew, I am an Israeli, I am a Zionist…I am both racially and intellectually superior to you, the non-Jew. For your lies, your pathetic stupidity, and your anti-Semitism, your people will suffer under the punishment of the world’s future super-power, Israel! Jews are superior to dirty-blooded non-Jews like you. While your ancestors were sleeping with the swine in the forests of Europe, my ancestors were building the city of Jerusalem. Israel will come to be the world’s newest superpower. It is our destiny, written in the prophecies of god, written in our ambitions, written in our blood! Beware, for your kind will come to fear us. The coming 30 years will make your eyes twitch my gentile! I am a Jew, you are not. I have the privilege of having g-d by my side, as well as the world’s supreme nation. Perhaps you do not yet see that the worst is awaiting your kind, in the face of the coming Islamo-Christian War, from which my kind will arise victorious. I am only 14 years old, but I have enough wisdom to see that you are nothing but a piece of gentile filth. No matter, perhaps g-d will find it suitable that a terrorist attack will end your misery. ‘Obsession’–Never was there a better word in describing the fanaticism on the part of Israel and her supporters in furthering the clash of civilizations between the Christian and Islamic worlds. Let us all hope that the spell Israel has cast over the Christian world in allowing itself to be used in its own destruction wears off before it is too late, if indeed it is not already.

Like all wars, the dark, untold stories of the Iraqi conflict drain from its shattered landscape like the filthy waters of the Tigris. And still the revelations come.

The Independent has learnt that secret executions are being carried out in the prisons run by Nouri al-Maliki's "democratic" government.

The hangings are carried out regularly – from a wooden gallows in a small, cramped cell – in Saddam Hussein's old intelligence headquarters at Kazimiyah. There is no public record of these killings in what is now called Baghdad's "high-security detention facility" but most of the victims – there have been hundreds since America introduced "democracy" to Iraq – are said to be insurgents, given the same summary justice they mete out to their own captives.

The secrets of Iraq's death chambers lie mostly hidden from foreign eyes but a few brave Western souls have come forward to tell of this prison horror. The accounts provide only a glimpse into the Iraqi story, at times tantalisingly cut short, at others gloomily predictable. Those who tell it are as depressed as they are filled with hopelessness.

"Most of the executions are of supposed insurgents of one kind or another," a Westerner who has seen the execution chamber at Kazimiyah told me. "But hanging isn't easy." As always, the devil is in the detail.

"There's a cell with a bar below the ceiling with a rope over it and a bench on which the victim stands with his hands tied," a former British official, told me last week. "I've been in the cell, though it was always empty. But not long before I visited, they'd taken this guy there to hang him. They made him stand on the bench, put the rope round his neck and pushed him off. But he jumped on to the floor. He could stand up. So they shortened the length of the rope and got him back on the bench and pushed him off again. It didn't work."

There's nothing new in savage executions in the Middle East – in the Lebanese city of Sidon 10 years ago, a policeman had to hang on to the legs of a condemned man to throttle him after he failed to die on the noose – but in Baghdad, cruel death seems a speciality.

"They started digging into the floor beneath the bench so that the guy would drop far enough to snap his neck," the official said. "They dug up the tiles and the cement underneath. But that didn't work. He could still stand up when they pushed him off the bench. So they just took him to a corner of the cell and shot him in the head."

The condemned prisoners in Kazimiyah, a Shia district of Baghdad, are said to include rapists and murderers as well as insurgents. One prisoner, a Chechen, managed to escape from the jail with another man after a gun was smuggled to them. They shot two guards dead. The authorities had to call in the Americans to help them recapture the two. The Americans killed one and shot the Chechen in the leg. He refused medical assistance so his wound went gangrenous. In the end, the Iraqis had to operate and took all the bones out of his leg. By the time he met one Western visitor to the prison, "he was walking around on crutches with his boneless right leg slung over his shoulder".

In many cases, it seems, the Iraqis neither keep nor release any record of the true names of their captives or of the hanged prisoners. For years the Americans – in charge of the notorious Abu Ghraib prison outside Baghdad – did not know the identity of their prisoners. Here, for example, is new testimony given to The Independent by a former Western official to the Anglo-US Iraq Survey Group, which searched for the infamous but mythical weapons of mass destruction: "We would go to the interrogation rooms at Abu Ghraib and ask for a particular prisoner. After about 40 minutes, the Americans brought in this hooded guy, shuffling along, shackled hands and feet.

"They sat him on a chair in front of us and took off his hood. He had a big beard. We asked where he received his education. He repeatedly said 'Mosul'. Then he said he'd left school at 14 – remember, this guy is supposed to be a missile scientist. We said: 'We know you've got a PhD and went to the Sorbonne – we'd like you to help us with information about Saddam's missile project'. But I said to myself : 'This guy doesn't know anything 'bout fucking missiles.' Then it turned out he had a different name from the man we'd asked for, he'd been picked up on the road by the Americans four months earlier, he didn't know why. So we said to the Americans: 'Wrong gentleman!' So they put the shackles on him and took him back to his cell and after 20 or 30 minutes, they'd bring someone else. We'd ask him where he went to school and he told us he had never been to school.

"Wrong person again. It was a complete farce. The incompetence of the US military was astounding, criminal. Eventually, of course, they found the right guy and brought him in and took his hood off. He was breathing heavily, overweight, pudgy, disoriented, a little bit scared."

On this occasion, the Americans had found the right man. The British and American investigators asked the guards to remove the man's shackles, which they did – but then they tied one of the man's legs to the floor. Yes, he had a PhD.

Again, the official's testimony: "We went through his history, what he'd worked on – he was obviously just a minor functionary in one of Saddam's missile programmes. Iraqi scientists didn't have the knowledge how to make nuclear missiles nor did they have the financial support necessary. It just remained in the dreams of Saddam."

The scientist-prisoner in Abu Ghraib miserably told his captors that he'd been arrested by the Americans after they'd knocked on his front door in Baghdad and found two Kalashnikov rifles a woman's hijab, verses from the Koran and, obviously of interest to his captors, "physics and missile textbooks on his bookshelves." But this supposedly valuable prisoner was never charged or previously interviewed even though he admitted he was a rocket scientist.

"I don't know what happened to him," the former official told me. "I tried to tell the UK and the US military that we've arrested this man but that he's got a wife, children, a family. I said that by locking up this one innocent person, you've got 50 men radicalised overnight. No, I don't know what happened to him."

For many of the investigators working for the Anglo-American authorities in Baghdad, the trial for the crime for which the Iraqi dictator was himself subsequently hanged was a fearful experience that ultimately ended in disgust. Through captured documents, they could see the dark, inner workings of Saddam's secret police. The idea of the Saddam trial was less to bring members of the former regime to justice than to show Iraqis how justice and the rule of law should operate.

"It was exhilarating to see Saddam being cross-examined," one of the court investigators said. "The low point was when he was executed. What drove me on was seeing how Saddam dealt with his victims – I was looking at a microcosm of all the deaths that had taken place in Iraq. But when he was executed, it was done in such a savage way."

Saddam Hussein was hanged in the same "secure" unit at Kazimiyah where Mr al-Maliki's people, in an echo of Saddamite Baathist terror, now hang their victims.

Ministers are considering spending up to £12 billion on a database to monitor and store the internet browsing habits, e-mail and telephone records of everyone in Britain.

GCHQ, the government’s eavesdropping centre, has already been given up to £1 billion to finance the first stage of the project.

Hundreds of clandestine probes will be installed to monitor customers live on two of the country’s biggest internet and mobile phone providers - thought to be BT and Vodafone. BT has nearly 5m internet customers.

Ministers are braced for a backlash similar to the one caused by their ID cards programme. Dominic Grieve, the shadow home secretary, said: “Any suggestion of the government using existing powers to intercept communications data without public discussion is going to sound extremely sinister.”

MI5 currently conducts limited e-mail and website intercepts which are approved under specific warrants by the home secretary.

Further details of the new plan will be unveiled next month in the Queen’s speech.

The Home Office stressed no formal decision had been taken but sources said officials had made clear that ministers had agreed “in principle” to the programme.

Officials claim live monitoring is necessary to fight terrorism and crime. However, critics question whether such a vast system can be kept secure. A total of 57 billion text messages were sent in the UK last year - 1,800 every second.

Any Israeli attack will be seen as US attack: Iran

Symbolising Israel as a signature mark of the United States in the Middle East, Iran's foreign minister Manouchehr Mottaki has said that any offensive action by Tel Aviv would be seen as an attack by Washington.

Iran does not believe that Israelis or Americans will attack its nuclear facilities but any attack by Tel Aviv would be considered an attack by Washington, Mottaki said.

"In the Middle East, (no one) makes a distinction between the US and Israel," the minister told Newsweek in an interview.

Asked why his country is calling for wiping out Israel from the map of the earth, Mottaki said Tehran does not recognise Israel.

Reiterating to continue its uranium enrichment programme, he said "What we are doing is completely legal," emphasising that negotiations are the only way to arrive at mutually acceptable solution to the issue.

Mottaki, however, welcomed the Bush administration's decision to send its Under Secretary William Burns to attend recent talks between Tehran and European Union on nuclear issue saying as "the first realistic step" by Washington.

"We welcomed the participation by Mr Burns in the Geneva talks. We feel that if this is the realistic approach taken by the US right now vis--vis the nuclear issue, they must continue with such efforts," he added.

Previously, Mottaki said the US administration attached certain provisos to their presence in the talks.

Burns' "presence in Geneva meant that those were no longer in play. An effort has started and if it is to succeed in resolving the nuclear issue, we have to take it to the next step," he added.

Israel’s plan to attack Iran confirmed

the Guardian newspaper confirmed that Israel was actively considering a military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities last spring. It reported that when Israel’s then prime minister, Ehud Olmert, raised this during US President George W. Bush’s visit to Israel last May, Bush vetoed it.

The Guardian’s veteran Middle East commentator, Jonathan Steele, cited senior diplomatic personnel working for a European head of government who met Olmert some time after Bush’s visit.

According to the Guardian’s sources, the talks were so sensitive that they were held in private, with no note-takers in attendance. They said that Olmert “took it [the refusal of a US green light] as where they were at the moment, and that the US position was unlikely to change as long as Bush was in office.”

Bush’s refusal to sanction an attack was apparently based on several factors. Firstly, the US was concerned that such an attack would provoke Iran to retaliate, which would probably include a wave of attacks on US military and contract personnel in Iraq, and Afghanistan and US shipping in the Gulf. Iraq’s Shiite-dominated government, installed by the US, retains close ties with and is dependent upon Tehran.

Secondly, it was unlikely that an Israeli air raid—even with dozens of aircraft—would succeed in knocking out Iran’s nuclear facilities, which are widely dispersed in fortified underground locations throughout the country.

Furthermore, the shortest route to Natanz, Iran’s uranium enrichment plant, is more than 700 miles from Israel and would entail flying over Iraq’s airspace, which is controlled by the US. So it would be impossible for Israel to launch such an attack without explicit US approval.

This would have left the US unable to officially deny knowledge of the attack. Iran would have every reason to assume that Bush had concurred with such an act of war, and to retaliate.

Iran has repeatedly said it would defend itself against any attacks on its nuclear facilities, which it maintains are for civilian purposes only. An air strike would precipitate a full-scale war, going far beyond Iran, underlining Washington’s increasing isolation in the region. It would precipitate attacks by Hezbollah on Israel and even terrorist attacks within the US itself.

One official said, “It is over 10 years since Hezbollah’s last terror attack outside Israel, when it hit an Argentine-Israel association building in Buenos Aires [killing 85 people].” “There is a large Lebanese diaspora in Canada which must include some Hezbollah supporters. They could slip in the US and take action,” he continued.

Olmert’s press spokesman, by denying that Bush had refused Israel a green light to attack Iran in “any working meeting,” only served to confirm the Guardian’s

US National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe refused to comment on the content of a private conversation between Bush and Olmert, saying, “The president’s position is that all options are on the table but diplomacy remains our first course of action.”

While it appears that Bush vetoed Israel’s plans to attack Iran in private, publicly he continued his bellicose attitude towards Iran and gave no hint that he had, for the time being at least, excluded the military option.

In his speech to the Knesset the following day, Bush told legislators, “America stands with you in firmly opposing Iran’s nuclear weapons ambitions. Permitting the world’s leading sponsor of terror to possess the world’s deadliest weapon would be an unforgivable betrayal of future generations. For the sake of peace, the world must not allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon.”

Israel’s plans to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities in fact continued, despite the fact that 16 US intelligence agencies had issued a long delayed National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) last December concluding that Tehran had ended any nuclear weapons program in 2003.

The Israeli political and military establishment, which regards Iran as its main rival in the region, rejected the NIE’s assessment and has repeatedly sought assurances that the Bush administration would “deal with” Tehran before leaving office.

It is determined to maintain its military supremacy in the Middle East and to prevent the possibility that Iran or any of its neighbours will master nuclear technology that could assist in the building of weapons. It is an open secret that Israel itself has an arsenal of more than 200 nuclear missiles. In order to retain its nuclear monopoly, the Israeli ruling elite is fully prepared to plunge the entire region into war through an unprovoked and criminal attack on Iran.

Senior ministers, including Olmert himself last November, have warned that Israel would take military action of its own to disable the “threat” posed by Iran’s nuclear facilities. In September last year, Israel destroyed a deserted Syrian target that Washington and Tel Aviv claimed was a North Korean-built nuclear installation. This attack evoked no serious international condemnation and is viewed as a precursor to a future attack on Iran.

Last April, National Infrastructure Minister Benjamin Ben-Eliezer threatened Iran with complete destruction should it attack in Israel. This threat was made amid a massive five-day civil defence drill and continuing hints of a pre-emptive Israeli strike against Iranian nuclear facilities.

Even after Bush’s apparent veto, verbal threats and speculation of imminent air strikes against Iran have continued. In June, Israel carried out a long-range exercise over the eastern Mediterranean involving more than 100 F-15 and F-16 fighter jets, refuelling planes and rescue helicopters. Citing unnamed sources, the New York Times reported that the operation was a dry run for an attack on Iran.

Shaul Mofaz, deputy prime minister and a former defence minister, warned a few weeks later that a unilateral attack against Iran was “unavoidable” as international sanctions had been ineffective.

The official position in Washington and Tel Aviv is that diplomacy is the preferred way of dealing with Iran. And these bellicose threats and war games are widely seen as part of an orchestrated pressure campaign against Iran to submit to US demands for the suspension of its nuclear enrichment programme. But since Israel does not have the capacity to carry out a successful attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities on its own, the ultimate purpose of such threats as far as influential figures in both Tel Aviv and Washington are concerned is to draw the US into such an attack.

There are without doubt elements within the Israeli and American ruling elite that are pressing for an escalation of militarism in the region, with the question of Iran one of the most divisive issues in the US presidential election.

Israel recently signed a deal with Washington for the purchase of F-22 stealth bombers, which are ideally suited to the type of targeted bombing raids planned by an Israeli air force command. Israel’s existing fleet of F15 fighter jets could also be used to launch an attack on Iran.

The Israeli military has bought 90 F-161 fighter bombers that can reach Iran and will receive 11 more by the end of next year. It has also bought two new Dolphin-class submarines from Germany, in addition to the three it already has, that are reported to be capable of firing nuclear missiles.

Earlier this month, the US Defense Department told Congress it intended to sell Israel 1,000 smart bombs capable of penetrating 90cm of steel-reinforced concrete.

On Sunday, it was announced that the US had supplied Israel with an advanced radar system that will provide an early warning in the event of an Iranian missile attack. Known as FBX-T, it will be linked to the US military’s Joint Tactical Ground Station and will be run by 120 US military personnel. Israel’s Arrow II ballistic missile shield currently works with less advanced radar.

While Bush refused to give Israel the nod to attack Iran last May, judging that it would be too precipitous a step, the military build-up in the region makes clear that such an attack is far from being off the agenda permanently. Indeed, elements within the Bush administration might still contemplate an unprovoked attack on Iran before the presidential election in November.

This success story in Pakistan is not unique. The Nuclear bomb, the missiles and the tanks were all produced in record time, considering that Pakistan had only one dysfunctional Textile Mill, one dilapidated University, and one archaic Jute Mill in 1947. No other country has come so far in defense production in such a short period of time. It took the Japanese from the Meiji revolution of 1893 to 1940 to produce the deadly aircrafts that devastated Pearl Harbor. The first American missiles and the entire Apollo program was built on Von Braun’s German technology. The Russian program was similarly also based on the German programs. In fact the first V2-rockets in the Museums in Washington are simply German rocket painted red 9for Russia) and other colors for America.

Pakistan is also producing the cheap Adam car which will compete with Chinese, and Japanese models (http://www.adammotor.com/daily_dawn.htm).

Pakistan is in midst of building about 500 JF-17 Thunder fighters, probably the biggest build up of planes in the history of the world. This is one of the greatest achievements of the Pakistani government in the past 8 years. This project removes the Pakistani defense from the shackles of foreign government. One can argue about the comparison with 4th generation American state-of-the-art planes, but this much is clear—it was designed for Pakistan, and is being produced in Pakistan. Serious plans are underway to upgrade the plane to new levels.

Many countries with enormous resources and tremendous backing have tried to produce airplanes. The huge failures of the Brazilians (version of the SU 27) and the Israelis (Lavi) are in written in stone. Even the Indian efforts at domestic production of missiles and planes (LCA, and other) is checkered with colossal failures. See report on this site by the Indian head of the Airforce. The Indian flying coffins, as well as the first Indian plane are pretty much grounded as is the Indian missile program.

This production is a magnificent example of Concurrent Engineering. The Pakistan JF-Thunder aircraft is going through a major upgrade in avionics, and a switch in engines to a Chinese version of the WD-93 called the WS-13. This is fascinating for all engineers. The airplane is being produced in mass, and new development is also happening concurrently. Efforts are already underway to produce the WS-13 engine locally, and upgrade the avionics with the latest French, German and Italian technology. Pakistan will export the older versions of the plane to Khazikistan and other countries. Khazakistan will make it more difficult for Armenia. This may change the balance of power in many regions, specially if Sri Lanks gets the JF-17 Thunder. The Sri Lankan Airforce may get an unprecedented advantage over the marauding mercenary terrorists who come over from Indian Tamil-land in increasing numbers. This may be done at the expense of requesting a Pakistan base in Sri Lanka.

Pakistan used the earthquake as the perfect opportunity to gently turn down the offer of 60 F-16s (block 50) to Pakistan and reduced the number of American planes to be purchased. The Pakistanis then further diversified the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). In Pakistani minds, the US is an unreliable arms supplier. Pakistan has suffered many times by American sanctions.President Musharraf and PAF head was invited to China to evaluate China’s latest toy, at the time, the J-10.

Now reports are surfacing that China has been able to duplicate the SU-27, the most lethal bird in the air. The Chinese version of the Sukhoi SU-27 (Flanker) is now called the J-11. The Su-30MKI (another derivative of the SU-27), a heavy-class fighter, with the F-16C Block 50, F-16C Block 60, and F-18E/F aircraft is largely theoretical. The American Fighters belong to conceptually different fighter classes and have their own, preferential areas of combat employment. The F-18E/F version, owing to the F/A-18 basic design, features a more pronounced strike-mission capability, while in terms of dimensions, this aircraft is close to the Russian fighter.

The airplanes in the Russian inventory are:

The Pakistanis should be tight lipped about the new Chinese fighter and whether Pakistan is going to acquire any. The Chinese in a sweet deal of $2.5 Billion with the Russians purchased the right to produce the SK-27. The J-11 is a “third generation” aircraft.

Now, the efforts in China and Pakistan are underway to move to the air-forces to the latest planes like SU-27K which is now called SU-33.

What about the SU-35? The original Su-35 was a derivative of the Su-27 and essentially a ground-based variant of the Su-33. While the official Russian Air Force designation for the aircraft remained the Su-27M, Sukhoi rechristened the model as the Su-35 in the hopes of attracting foreign customers. The Brazilians wanted to produce it but in the end opted for the Mirage IIIs.

The Brazilian decision appeared to have ended the Su-35 program once and for all since Sukhoi had little success finding other customers. Hopes were briefly revived in May 2006 when Venezuela announced interest in the Su-35, but the nation instead chose a variant of the Su-30. The move is largely politically-motivated given recent tensions between Venezuela and the United States over America’s ban on providing support for the Venezuelan F-16 fleet. the Su-35 was revived at least in name in 2007 when Sukhoi announced the aircraft had entered production for the Russian Air Force. This incarnation is also a derivative of the Su-27

MOSCOW, February 21 (RIA Novosti) - China has built a domestic copy of the famed Su-27 Flanker fighter and may compete with Russia on third-party markets if it sets up the full-scale production of the plane, a Russian daily said on Thursday.

China has acquired 76 Su-27SK fighters from Russia since 1992, and bought a license for production of another 200 planes in 1995, in a deal worth $2.5 billion.

“Since 1996, the domestic version of the Su-27 aircraft, dubbed J-11, has been produced at the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation (SAC) with the use of Russian components,” the Vedomosti newspaper said.

The licensed production of the Su-27 has given China its most capable fighter aircraft while also providing a vehicle for its industry to gain knowledge of third-generation fighter manufacturing, Vedomosti said.

About 95 aircraft had been produced in China by 2003. However, the 1995 agreement did not include the transfer of avionics and AL-31F turbofan engine technology, and the Chinese manufacturers had to rely on the Russian supply of these systems.

In 2004, China requested that Russia’s Sukhoi aircraft manufacturer stop deliveries of the assembly kits, stating that the basic variant of the Su-27SK/J-11 fighter could no longer satisfy Chinese Air Force requirements.

But the Russian sources insist that China’s decision was prompted by an increased share of domestic components in the assembly of the licensed aircraft and breakthroughs in engine manufacturing technology.

“The breakthrough in engine manufacturing technology allowed China to increase its share of domestically developed components and technologies from 70-75% to over 90%,” the newspaper cited an official from the Russian state-controlled arms exporter, Rosoboronexport, as saying.

In 2006, China revealed first official details about the domestically developed WS-10A Tai Hang turbofan engine, similar to the Russian AL-31F engine in both technology and performance.

China announced that the engine had been successfully tested on a modified Su-27K fighter, but Russian experts believe it is not reliable enough to start the full-scale production of the aircraft.

Rosoboron export and Chinese officials refused to comment on the latest developments in the situation regarding the licensed production of Su-27s in China.

Meanwhile, Konstantin Makiyenko from the Russian Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies, believes that if China manages to launch a full-scale production of the indigenous copy of the Su-27, it would easily push Russia from third-party markets, and it would be difficult to prove a violation of the license agreement.

Su-27 Flanker and its variant, Su-30 Flanker C, constitute the bulk of Russia’s arms exports. Last year, Sukhoi exported 50 of these aircraft, accounting for 50% of Rosoboron export’s export revenues, Vedomosti said.

The newspaper also noted that China had a long history of copying Russian aircraft. Chinese J-6 and J-7 fighters were modeled after MiG-19 Farmer and MiG-21 Fishbed, H-6 bomber - after Tu-16 Badger, and Y-5, Y-7 and Y-8 transport planes - after An-2 Colt, An-24 Coke and An-12 Cub, respectively.

Pakistan wants to replace the F-16s in 2020 with the F-35s

PAKISTAN TO REPLACE THE F-16s with the F-35 in 2020: Lightning II is a single-seat, single-engine, stealth-capable military strike fighter, a multi-role aircraft that can perform close air support, tactical bombing, and air-to-air combat. The F-35 is descended from the X-35 of the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program. Its development is being principally funded by the United States with the United Kingdom and other partner governments providing additional funding. It is being designed and built by an aerospace industry team led by Lockheed Martin with Northrop Grumman and BAE Systems as major partners. Demonstrator aircraft flew in 2000;15 December a production model first took flight on 2006. The United States Air Force plans to acquire 1,763 aircraft.

After the transfer of manufacturing to China, the demise of the Automobile industry, the movement of the service industry, and the destruction of the financial houses of “ill-repute” to Non-American shores, now the battle is raging in the Aviation and Sapce industries. Japan the natural inheritor of the aircraft industry has shied away from producing commercially viable large aircraft and is prohibited by its constitution to make fighter planes. Japan does make tanks, jets and boats as part of of its “Civil defense” forces but does not want to export its gear for fear of having to participate in America’s ill conceived and bloody ventures in the Greater Middle East and elsewhere. The will be dumping this failed equipment on countries like India.

Russia is not only not transferring technology to its old allies, it is moving ahead with its development plans at an exponential speed selling its equipment to new found allies in Venezuela and elsewhere.

The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter/ Lightning II program is reaching a critical nexus. In order to keep costs under control and justify the industrial ramp up underway, participating countries need to sign order agreements within the next year or so. The F-35 is not a proven fighter design that has demonstrated a baseline of performance in service, however; it is a developmental aircraft in the early days of its test program, which is scheduled to continue until 2013.

As one might expect, that status makes the F-35 a controversial long-term bet in many of the program’s member countries. The USA is looking at its budgets, and has concluded that it can afford about half of the annual aircraft buy it had planned during the program’s early years. Its fellow Tier 1 partner Britain is reportedly re-evaluating its planned F-35B order in light of rising costs and problematic defense budgets. Sharp controversy has erupted in Tier 2 partner the Netherlands over long-term costs and industrial arrangements, leading to political pressure for a competitive bid. Tier 3 partners Norway and Denmark have both traveled down that same road, and are holding open competitions that pit the F-35 against Saab’s modernized JAS-39NG Gripen.

Australia hasn’t yet reached that point, but September 2008 has featured a very public set of controversies around the F-35’s performance. In the current environment, the altercation in Australia has become a controversy with implications, and responses, that have reached well beyond that continent’s shores….

On Sept 11/08, The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Australian Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon has asked for a full report from Australia’s DoD, in response to public reports that a classified computer simulation of an attack by Russian-built SU-30 family aircraft on a mixed fleet of F-35As, Super Hornets and F-22s, had resulted in success for the Russian aircraft. Fitzgibbon, who questioned the strategic logic behind Australia’s plans for an F-35/ F-18F fighter fleet while in opposition, asked for anAustralian Department of Defence review, and added that:

“I’m determined not to sign on the dotted line on the JSF until I am absolutely certain it’s capable of delivering the capability it promises and that capability can be delivered on time and on budget.”

On Sept 12/08, Australia’s opposition Liberal Party waded into the fray in support of its previous decision to buy the F-35A. It asked the new minister to release the results of the recent Air Combat Capability Review, and get on with his decision. On Sept 25/08, the RAND Corporation stepped in with a statement of their own concerning the August 2008 Pacific Vision simulation:

“Recently, articles have appeared in the Australian press with assertions regarding a war game in which analysts from the RAND Corporation were involved. Those reports are not accurate. RAND did not present any analysis at the war game relating to the performance of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, nor did the game attempt detailed adjudication of air-to-air combat. Neither the game nor the assessments by RAND in support of the game undertook any comparison of the fighting qualities of particular fighter aircraft”

The end result left the Australian controversy without much substance. Even so, the timing of this contretemps could not have been worse from Lockheed Martin’s perspective. Just 3 days earlier, the left-wing American Center for Defense Information had released “Joint Strike Fighter: The Latest Hotspot in the U.S. Defense Meltdown.” This analysis by Pierre M. Spey, a key member of the F-16 and A-10 design teams, cast sharp doubt on the F-35’s capabilities:

“Even without new problems, the F-35 is a ‘dog.’ If one accepts every performance promise the DoD currently makes for the aircraft, the F-35 will be: “Overweight and underpowered: at 49,500 lb (22,450kg) air-to-air take-off weight with an engine rated at 42,000 lb of thrust, it will be a significant step backward in thrust-to-weight ratio for a new fighter…. [F-35A and F-35B variants] will have a ‘wing-loading’ of 108 lb per square foot…. less manoeuvrable than the appallingly vulnerable F-105 ‘Lead Sled’ that got wiped out over North Vietnam…. payload of only two 2,000 lb bombs in its bomb bay…. With more bombs carried under its wings, the F-35 instantly becomes ‘non-stealthy’ and the DoD does not plan to seriously test it in this configuration for years. As a ‘close air support’… too fast to see the tactical targets it is shooting at; too delicate and flammable to withstand ground fire; and it lacks the payload and especially the endurance to loiter usefully over US forces for sustained periods…. What the USAF will not tell you is that ‘stealthy’ aircraft are quite detectable by radar; it is simply a question of the type of radar and its angle relative to the aircraft…. As for the highly complex electronics to attack targets in the air, the F-35, like the F-22 before it, has mortgaged its success on a hypothetical vision of ultra-long range, radar-based air-to-air combat that has fallen on its face many times in real air war. The F-35’s air-to-ground electronics promise little more than slicker command and control for the use of existing munitions.”

On Sept 18/08, Lockheed Martin fired back in “F-35: Setting the Record Straight.” It takes direct aim at both the Australian press reports, and the CDI article, noting that external weapons clearance is part of the F-35’s current test program. Lockheed Martin added that:

”….The Air Force’s standard air-to-air engagement analysis model, also used by allied air forces to assess air-combat performance, pitted the 5th generation F-35 against all advanced 4th generation fighters in a variety of simulated scenarios…. In all F-35 Program Office and U.S. Air Force air-to-air combat effectiveness analysis to date, the F-35 enjoys a significant Combat Loss Exchange Ratio advantage over the current and future air-to-air threats, to include Sukhois…. In stealth combat configuration, the F-35 aerodynamically outperforms all other combat-configured 4th generation aircraft in top-end speed, loiter, subsonic acceleration and combat radius. This allows unprecedented “see/shoot first” and combat radius advantages.

The high thrust-to-weight ratios of the lightweight fighter program Wheeler/Sprey recall from 30 years ago did not take into consideration combat-range fuel, sensors or armament… We do consider all of this in today’s fighters….

….Simply put, advanced stealth and sensor fusion allow the F-35 pilot to see, target and destroy the adversary and strategic targets in a very high surface-to-air threat scenario, and deal with air threats intent on denying access—all before the F-35 is ever detected, then return safely to do it again.”

Note that Lockheed Martin’s release does not address infared stealth against modern IRST (infa-red scan and track) air to air systems, which are present on advanced European and Russian designs and have ranges up to 70km. Nor does it make any claims concerning superior maneuverability against thrust-vectoring opponents like Russia’s MiG-29OVT and the most modern members of the SU-30 family, or canard-equipped “4.5 generation” aircraft like the Dassault Rafale, EADS Eurofighter, or Saab’s Gripen.

Both the CDI’s analysis, and Lockheed Martin’s reply, are incomplete.

Spey has undertaken a similar analysis of the F-22A Raptor for CDI, but aircraft pilots have said that his analysis in key areas like maneuverability is poorly done, and does not match provable reality. This justifies strong caution in accepting Spey’s analysis, and Lockheed Martin’s reply offers additional reasons for doubt. In fairness to Spey, it should also be said that combat experience with his A-10 aircraft in Afghanistan et. al. does back up his contentions concerning the limitations of fast jets, and the capabilities required for close air support.

In the F-22’s case, reasons could be advanced to explain why Spey’s F-22 analysis parameters were wrong, such as the F-22’s thrust vectoring and controllable tail surfaces to offset Spey’s unidimensional wing loading analysis, the tactical implications of having the ability to cruise above Mach 1 without afterburners, and stealth that has defeated AWACS aircraft and worked against international fighter pilots even at relatively short ranges. F-22 pilots have also racked up incredibly lopsided kill ratios in American and international exercises, far in excess of “normal” performance for new aircraft, that back up their pilots’ performance claims.

This is all much harder to do for the F-35, which remains a developmental aircraft and lacks key aerodynamic features like combat thrust vectoring (Harrier, SU-30 family, MiG-29OVT, F-22A), canards for fast “point and shoot” manevers with high off-boresight short-range missiles (some SU-30 family, Rafale, Eurofighter, Gripen), or loaded supersonic cruise (F-22A). The F-35 has also been designed from the outset to feature less stealth than the F-22A, though it will be stealthier than contemporary 4.5 generation European and Russian aircraft. Aircraft intake size and hence volume are set unless the aircraft is redesigned, and wing size, angle and loading can all be observed.

Indra Dhanush: SU-30MKI, Eurofghter, Tornado F3

The F-35’s explicit design goal has been stated as being the F-16’s equal in in air to air combat, at a time when the F-16’s future ability to survive in that arena is questioned. The question naturally arises: what special features give the F-35 a unique ability to prevail against the kind of advanced, upgraded 4.5 generation and better fighters that it can be expected to face between its induction, and a likely out of service date around 2050 or later?

Classified simulations whose assumptions are shielded from the public may indeed demonstrate the attested results, but their foundations are outside any public scrutiny, and amount to a claim that must be taken on faith. That may not be very convincing in the political sphere. Especially since models of this type have been wrong before, due to the well-known phenomenon of incorrect or missing assumptions producing results that don’t match the test of battle.

Ultimately, solid proof comes from use in combat against peer opponents. Israel’s nuclear program removed that perennial testing ground, by ending the consistent string of conventional wars that used to be the globe’s top source for that kind of information. Nor has any other source for that kind of peer conflict data emerged since the 1990s. If the F-35 lacks that kind of backing, well, so do all of its competitors.

These days, an imperfect but acceptable substitute may be available via performance in multinational exercises like Red Flag or Indra Dhanush, where some of the opponents will have less institutional incentive to soft-pedal comparative performance claims in the name of a united organizational front.

The F-35 does have the equivalent of a Sniper ATP reconnaissance and targeting pod built in, and experience on the front lines indicates that its presence goes significantly beyond just “slicker command and control for the use of existing munitions.” That addresses an important component of the F-35’s overall rationale – but it does not address the air to air dimension.

As it happens, that air to air dimension will not be a priority for every customer.

Some customers may be quite satisfied with a manned fighter that offers good international/NATO commonality, the ability to perform basic airspace sovereignty duties, good survivability against medium to advanced air defenses if encountered, off the shelf surveillance and targeting capabilities that exceed all other contemporary fighters, and the ability to carry enough weapons to support international missions against opponents up to the level of Serbia or al-Qaeda and the Taliban. For those countries, even an F-35 that matched Spey’s characterization might well suffice.

Questions of industrial benefits and costs, rather than air to air capabilities, will dominate fighter replacement discussions in those countries. The F-35 program has already seen a 54.4% increase in overall program costs per aircraft delivered from 2001 to the present day, and the US GAO believes that another 14.5% rise to about $327 billion for 2,456 American fighters could still lie ahead. If the GAO is correct, it would place the fully-loaded program cost of each F-35 at $137 million . That price is not at all the same as the “flyway cost” of buying an individual aircraft, but it does affect program partners if the USA isn’t prepared to bear those additional program costs alone. Or if rising costs force the USA to slash its own procurement numbers yet again, a move that would affect the aircraft’s production economies of scale and learning curves.

Budgetary and industrial concerns will always be part of the debate, but some customers may also have stricter performance requirements to deal with.

If a country needs aircraft to operate from small aircraft carriers or amphibious assault LHDs, the AV-8 Harrier’s age and projected phase-out plans will make the F-35B STOVL (Short Take Off, Vertical Landing) their only non-Russian option. Customers in this category include the US Marine Corps, Italy, Spain, Thailand, and others. Very large LHDs, or small carriers equipped with ski-jumps, may also allow some competition from the less flexible STOBAR (Short Take Off But Assisted Recovery) MiG-29K, which India’s navy plans to induct by 2011 or so. For those customers, the choice boils down to having fighter jet launch capability from those platforms – or not.

On the flip side, if maintaining regional or local air superiority is a priority mission for any replacement fighter, then air to air performance against enemy aircraft becomes extremely important. This is certainly true for the US Navy’s carrier fleet, for Australia’s RAAF, and to a lesser extent for the future British Navy. With these customers, Lockheed Martin must either depend on political inertia, or advance plausible, non-classified rationales that explain why its F-35s will perform as an air superiority fighter. Australia may have been the first potential customer to raise the issue this openly in the political sphere; it is unlikely to be the last.

What’s common to every potential F-35 customer, of course, is the time factor. Competitively tested performance, and firm costs, are still some years away. Even so, many defense departments around the world will need to make decisions before that evidence becomes available.

Hence the current political conundrums in country after country, and the tension that inevitably surrounds any program of this size before key commitments are made. As Aviation Week’s Bill Sweetman puts it:

“If the JSF program succeeds in locking up its international partners, the project could be within reach of its goal of an F-16-like, mid-four-digit production run…. But if JSF falls short of its goals – as almost every major military aircraft program has in the past 25 years – it will throw the re-equipment plans of a dozen air arms into disarray.”

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani authorities are trying to solve the riddle of US Marines and their mysterious steel cases, which were shifted to the Marriott Hotel four days before the hotel was reduced to ashes by the worst ever terrorist attack in the history of the federal capital.
These authorities want to ascertain if it was a routine exercise or part of some special mission that does not have the approval of the Government of Pakistan.

The US embassy insists the activity witnessed was a team of support personnel that often and routinely precede and/or accompany certain US officials. However, the government authorities probing the matter have already got most of the facts ascertained as mentioned in The News story on Sunday.

According to an official source, the authorities were told that mysterious activity of the US Marines took place around 12:00 midnight on 16 September. Already the government has got the information that several rooms on the fourth floor of the Marriott were in permanent use of the US authorities. Three of these rooms were said to be inter-connected and contained some intelligence equipment and other material allegedly used for espionage.

Sadruddin Hashwani, the owner of the Marriott, when approached denied that the Americans had any such presence in the hotel and said that like any such hotel in the world his guests included people of different nationalities. “Why focus on the Americans unnecessarily,” Hashwani wondered. He refuted that the US embassy had permanently hired several rooms in his hotel.

The US embassy spokesperson Lou Fintor, however, when asked if the US embassy had hired several rooms in the Marriott Hotel for years, said in his written reply that the US embassy has been a frequent customer of the Marriott Hotel for many years. On any given day, he said, there were employees of the American embassy and official American visitors staying at the hotel. “There is nothing unusual, secretive or ‘mysterious’ about this,” he said.

When asked if three of these permanently hired rooms were interconnected, Fintor said, “For our frequent visiting delegations, the embassy often rented adjoining rooms — as we often do in other hotels in Pakistan and in the world.”

Responding to unconfirmed reports that the US-rented rooms in the Marriott Hotel were being used by the CIA for espionage purposes, he said, “Unfortunately, far too many things have been ‘said’ that have absolutely no basis in fact. There is no truth whatsoever in allegations that covert activity was taking place on the part of the United States government.”

The spokesman said that these allegations are inaccurate, irresponsible, baseless and completely without any foundation whatsoever.

About the Marines and the steel cases which were reported to have been shifted to the hotel between the night of 16 and 17 September and whether these Marines and the suitcases were in the hotel on the day of the blast or evacuated before, he said, “A team of support personnel often and routinely precede and/or accompany certain US government officials. They often carry communication and office equipment required to support large delegations, such as high-level administration officials and members of the US Congress.”

He added that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff would travel with communications equipment. “It is quite possible that some saw this communications equipment moved into the hotel. This equipment would leave with the CJCS. If the equipment was transported in full public view then obviously there was no attempt made to conceal its movement.”
Witnessed by many, including a PPP MNA and his friends, a US embassy’s truckload of steel boxes was unloaded and shifted inside the Marriott Hotel on September 16 midnight only after Mike Mullen, the US Admiral, had met Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and others in Islamabad and had already left. Both the main gates (the entrance and the exit) of the hotel were closed while no one except the US Marines was either allowed to go near the truck or get the steel boxes unloaded or shift them inside the hotel. These steel boxes were not being passed through the scanners installed at the entrance of the hotel’s lobby, and were reportedly shifted to the fourth and fifth floors of the Marriott.
The US embassy spokesman also confirmed that the Marriott rooms, which were in use of the US officials, had the communication and office equipment, which were transported for use by Admiral Mullen.

The Bush people are horrified at the way the Georgia invasion worked out finally. The incursion was surely known to senior U.S. military commanders, both in the field and at EUCOM command. There is no question about this. The generals knew that Bush detested Putin and was determined, at any cost, to “do something” to Tehran before he left office. The Israelis, who are yapping at him as often as they can, convinced Curious George that they could attack from Georgian airfields and the U.S. would be “off the hook” as it were. Bush loved the idea but the entire matter got completely out of hand. The nutty Georgian president launched an attack that brought down swift and terrible Russian response. That response totally wrecked the Bush Russia- encirclement plan, showed the U.S. up as an unreliable ally and more, it showed that both the U.S. and NATO were completely powerless against Putin. The once-terrifying lions are now old and toothless. On top of this, careless Americans and frightened Israelis decamped from Georgia as fast as they could, leaving everything behind, including trucks full of top secret documents for the Russians to enjoy at their leisure. No one wants to talk about this complete disaster, so the press has been ordered to spend its time directing the electorate towards the crazy Palin woman and now, the Gulf hurricane. We get to see clips of Sarah babbling whatever her handlers have her read and that intermixed with fat woman and poodles being airlifted off their Galveston rooftops.

As an aside, those stupid fucks were told, repeatedly, to get out, long before’ Ike’ hit. They stuck out their tongues and stayed. Now, they are up on the roofs, wailing and waving dirty underwear begging the Coast Guard to rescue them. The stupid assholes should be fined for wasting the Coast Guard’s valuable time. I recall during Katrina that the Coast Guard did wonderful and often under-reported work rescuing people while the corrupt and stupid FEMA clods held press conferences and ate very well.

So much for that aside.

The Georgia president has said, often and very loudly, that he wants to invade his former territory and is prepared to fight to the death. He will certainly get his wish but he also expects that Bush will resupply him with more weapons as well as sending in large numbers of U.S. troops. This will never happen but Saakashvili will do his best to start a major war. To be pragmatic, we should have the CIA kill him as it has killed so many inconvenient allies in the past. And if we read of the “tragic sudden death” of the Georgian leader, there is still the very real danger of a Russian move against the Ukraine to contemplate, at least for those not involved with the football season and the remnants of ‘Ike.’ Given Putin’s succeses in challenging both the U.S. and NATO over the Georgia issue, there is great concern here over what could be another Russian move, this time against the Ukraine. In point of fact, Russia has a much bigger and more legitimate beef over the Ukraine than Georgia. The Ukraine has a very large and well-developed industrial area in the Donets Basin, is a very rich agricultural country and has control over the Crimea and its large Russian naval base. The U.S. helped bribe Georgia out of the Russian sphere and into the NATO one but now that NATO is seen by everyone as a joke, one would think that the Ukraine would be very nervous. If they are, they are not showing it. An argument now being made in Kiev is that Russia would not dare to meddle with the Ukraine because that country has a huge network of oil and gas pipelines that take Russian products to the European market. This is a double-edged sword because Russia has a strong presence in the Ukraine and if that country has the pipelines in place, which it does, this is even more reason to gather the errant province back into the fold. “

Iran official says missiles can reach ships in Gulf

A top adviser of Iran's supreme leader has warned that in the event of war all ships passing through the oil-rich Gulf region would be within the reach of Iran's missiles, a government newspaper reported on Thursday.

Iran, embroiled in a standoff with the West over its nuclear ambitions, has said it could respond to any military attack by closing the strait at the southern end of the Gulf through which about 40 percent of the world's traded oil passes.

The United States, whose naval Fifth Fleet is based in the Gulf state of Bahrain, has vowed to keep shipping lanes opened.

The West accuses Tehran of seeking to build nuclear warheads but Iran, the world's fourth largest oil producer, insists its aim is to master technology to make electricity. Washington has not ruled out military action if diplomacy fails to end the row.

"At a time of war no ship can pass through the region of the Persian Gulf without being in the reach of the Revolutionary Guards' coast-to-sea missiles," Yahya Rahim-Safavi, a senior military adviser of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was quoted by the Iran daily as saying.

Rahim-Safavi said earlier this week that Khamenei had put the elite Guards in charge of defending the Gulf against any attacks and that they would not hesitate to "confront foreign forces."

The comments came amid persistent speculation about a possible U.S. or Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Iran has dismissed reports of such an attack, but says it would respond by hitting U.S. interests and Israel if attacked.

Iran's air force and defense units held war games this week to test equipment and boost readiness, Iranian media reported.

On Sunday Iran will parade its Shahab missiles, the media also reported. The Shahab 3 missile reportedly has a range that could reach Israel.

"By staging this parade, we are ready to tell the world ... that we are totally ready to defend our Islamic system and country," the semi-official Fars news agency quoted commander Namvar, in charge of organizing the parade, as saying. The Sunday parade marks the start of the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war.

It did not give the commander's full name.

Alongside the regular army, Iran has a Revolutionary Guards force viewed as guardians of the Islamic ruling system.

The Guards have a separate command and their own air, sea and land units. They are deployed on sensitive border regions and guard key institutions.

Iran's fleet has the capacity to inflict crippling damages on any US vessels in the Persian Gulf, a French newspaper reports, PressTV reported.

In an article in Le Figaro published on Wednesday, George Malbrunot has written that Iran has a tactical defense scheme in the Persian Gulf to implement against any possible US attack.

Malbrunot noted that the Islamic Republic has mass-produced a large number of speed boats with rocket launchers and other sophisticated military equipment which are able to strike a heavy blow on any foreign warship if the country comes under attack.

Malbrunot said that the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) is ready to deploy its submarines and battle boats to intercept vessels at the Straight of Hormuz.

He also referred to IRGC's Qaem submarine which is capable of launching high-speed torpedoes with significant destructive powers.

The IRGC has recently developed long-range anti-ship missiles that can strike targets within 300 kilometers and its new unmanned reconnaissance planes have caused worries in Washington, Le Figaro reported.

Major General Yahya Rahim-Safavi, former commander of the IRGC and the current military advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, had earlier declared that the responsibility of Persian Gulf defense had been handed over to the IRGC and it will seal the strategic Straight of Hormuz in case the US launches any attack on Iran's nuclear installations.

The US military provided combat training to 80 Georgian special forces commandos only months prior to Georgia’s army assault in South Ossetia in August.

The revelation, based on recruitment documents and interviews with US military trainers obtained by the Financial Times, could add fuel to accusations by Vladimir Putin, Russian prime minister, last month that the US had “orchestrated” the war in the Georgian enclave.

The training was provided by senior US soldiers and two military contractors. There is no evidence that the contractors or the Pentagon, which hired them, knew that the commandos they were training were likely be used in the assault on South Ossetia.

A US army spokesman said the goal of the programme was to train the commandos for duty in Afghanistan as part of Nato-led International Security Assistance Force. The programme, however, highlights the often unintended consequences of US “train and equip” programmes in foreign countries.

The contractors – MPRI and American Systems, both based in Virginia – recruited a 15-man team of former special forces soldiers to train the Georgians at the Vashlijvari special forces base on the outskirts of Tbilisi, part of a programme run by the US defence department.

MPRI was hired by the Pentagon in 1995 to train the Croatian military prior to their invasion of the ethnically-Serbian Krajina region, which led to the displacement of 200,000 refugees and was one of the worst incidents of ethnic cleansing in the Balkan wars. MPRI denies any wrongdoing.

US training of the Georgian army is a big flashpoint between Washington and Moscow. Mr Putin said on CNN on August 29: “It is not just that the American side could not restrain the Georgian leadership from this criminal act [of intervening in South Ossetia]. The American side in effect armed and trained the Georgian army.”

The first phase of the special forces training was held between January and April this year, concentrating on “basic special forces skills” said an American Systems employee interviewed by phone from the US army’s Fort Bragg.

The US military official familiar with the programme said the Pentagon hired the military contracting firms to help supplement its own trainers because of a lack of manpower.

The second 70-day phase was set to begin on August 11, a few days after war broke out in South Ossetia. The trainers arrived on August 3, four days before the conflict flared on August 7. “They would have only seen the inside of a hotel room,” quipped one former contractor. Neither MPRI nor American Systems would speak at length to the FT about the programme.

American Systems directed questions to the US army’s Security Assistance Training Management Organisation (Satmo) at Fort Bragg, part of the US Army’s Special Warfare Center School. Satmo sends trainers, mainly special forces but also contractors, to countries such as Yemen, Colombia and the Philippines. Satmo trainers generally work with forces involved in counter-insurgencies, counter-terrorism or civil wars. A Satmo spokesman declined to comment.

One US military official familiar with the programme said it emerged from a Georgian offer to the US in December 2006 to send commandos to Afghanistan to work alongside American special operations forces.

According to this person, the US told Georgia that the offer should be made through Nato, which welcomed the offer but informed Georgia that its forces would need additional training to meet the military alliance’s standards.

While the programme is not classified, there is a lack of transparency surrounding it, though US military officials said the lack of publicity was not part of an effort to keep the programme secret. Other US military training programmes in Georgia have their own websites and photo galleries.

A US European Command spokesman confirmed the existence of the programme only after reviewing an e-mail sent by MPRI recruiters that was obtained by the FT. According to the e-mail, which did not mention Nato operations, former US special operations forces would receive $2,000 ($1,150, €1,400) a week plus costs as trainers. “We can confirm the programme exists, but due to its nature and training objectives we do not discuss specifics to ensure the integrity of the programme and force protection of the trainers and participants,” he said.

James Appathurai, Nato’s spokesman in Brussels, said: “Georgia has made an offer to provide forces to Isaf in the last two years. But until now these Georgian forces have not joined the Isaf mission.” An official at a senior Nato member state said it was understood that the forces had been trained by the US, but that the forces had not passed a certification process under which all potential members of the Isaf mission are vetted.

Iran's armed forces will begin three days of war games on Monday involving anti-aircraft defense systems, Iranian media said on Sunday.

The exercises will be held amid persistent speculation about a possible U.S. or Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear facilities, which the West and Israel say are part of a clandestine bid to build atomic bombs, despite Tehran's denials.

The ISNA news agency said both Iran's Revolutionary Guards and its regular army would take part in the drills.

"Maneuvers with the participation of anti-aircraft defense systems will be held for three days starting Monday," it said, without giving further details.

The English-language Iran Daily said the aim was to maintain and upgrade the combat readiness of relevant units as well as to "test new weapons and defense plans."

Speculation about a possible attack on Iran's nuclear facilities has risen since Israel staged an air force exercise in June which was reported to be a simulation of a strike against Iran. Iran says it would hit back if attacked.

An Iranian commander last week said the Iranian air force would hold exercises during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, which began in Iran on September 2, but it was not immediately clear whether he was referring to the same drills as the ISNA report.

There have been conflicting reports about whether Iran was buying the S-300 system. Defence Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said last year Russia had agreed to deliver the missiles to Iran under a signed contract. Russia denied such plans.

Iran, the world's fourth largest oil producer, says its nuclear program is aimed at making electricity, not bombs. The United States says it wants diplomacy to end the row but has not ruled out military action if that fails.

A US Navy flagship carrying humanitarian aid yesterday steamed into a Georgian port where Russian troops are still stationed, stoking tensions once again in the tinderbox Caucasus region.

A previous trip by US warships was cancelled at the last minute a week ago amid fears that an armed stand-off could intensify in the Black Sea port of Poti.

The arrival of the USS Mount Whitney, flagship of the 6th Fleet in the Mediterranean, came as Moscow accused Dick Cheney, the hawkish US Vice-President, of stoking tensions during a visit to Tbilisi this week. After meeting President Saakashvili, Mr Cheney vowed to bring Georgia into the Nato alliance. Russia sees such moves as Western encroachment on its traditional sphere of influence.

Russia’s leaders have accused previous US warships that docked at the port of Batumi, to the south, of delivering weapons to re-arm the smashed Georgian military — charges that Washington denied.

While Russia again questioned the deployment of what it described as “the number one ship of its type in the US Navy” in the Black Sea, it said that it planned no military action in response. The Russian Army has kept a small component of soldiers in Poti, where Georgian officials accuse them of looting port authority buildings.

“Naval ships of that class can hardly deliver a large amount of aid,” said Andrei Nesterenko, a Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman. “Such ships have a hold for keeping provisions for the crew and items needed for sailing. How many tonnes of aid can a ship of that type deliver?”

He said that the presence of US warships could contravene international conventions governing shipping in the Black Sea, and in particular restrictions on the entry of naval ships from countries that do not share a Black Sea coastline. The small Russian garrison in Poti would pose no military threat to a vessel like the Mount Whitney, but the proximity of two hostile forces in such a fraught environment set the political temperature rising again in the Caucasus a month after Russia’s five-day war with Georgia.

Moscow, which followed up its crushing military defeat of Georgia by unilaterally recognising two of its breakaway provinces, South Ossetia and Abkhazia, was angry that Mr Cheney still insisted on Georgia’s entrance into the Atlantic alliance — something several key Nato members oppose. “The new promises to Tbilisi relating to the speedy membership of Nato strengthen the Saakashvili regime’s dangerous feeling of impunity and encourages its dangerous ambitions,” said Mr Nesterenko.

Visiting Kiev, the Ukrainian capital yesterday, Mr Cheney kept up his tough anti-Russian rhetoric when he urged Ukraine’s squabbling pro-Western leaders to unite in the face of threats to the country’s security. He met President Yushchenko and Yuliya Tymoshenko, the Prime Minister, and told them that Ukraine’s best hope was to be “united with other democracies”.

Mr Yushchenko has accused his former Orange Revolution ally of siding with Russia in the war with Georgia, an allegation she denies. The split led to the collapse of Ukraine’s coalition Government on Tuesday.

After endorsing Georgia’s application, Mr Cheney said that the US was also committed to Ukraine’s membership of Nato. Konstantin Kosachyov, head of the foreign affairs committee in Russia’s lower house, accused Mr Cheney of forging an “anti-Russian axis”.

According to reports in the newspaper De Telegraaf, the country's intelligence service, the AIVD, has stopped an espionage operation aimed at infiltration and sabotage of the weapons industry in Iran.

"The operation, described as extremely successful, was halted recently in connection with plans for an impending US air attack on Iraq," said the report.

"Targets would also be bombed which were connected with the Dutch espionage action."

"Well placed" sources told the paper that a top agent had been recalled recently "because the US was thought to be making a decision within weeks to attack Iran with unmanned aircraft".

"Information from the AIVD operation has in recent years been shared with the American CIA secret service."

Brig Gen Seyyed Massoud Jazayeri, deputy chief of the Iranian armed forces, warned at the weekend that military attacks against Iran would trigger a Third World War.

"The exorbitant demands of the US leaders and the global Zionism which have created the current situation in Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan and Caucasus are gradually directing the world to the edge of the cliff," he said.

The US has refused to rule out a military attack against Iran if its government continues to enrich uranium as part of its civilian nuclear programme, which the West suspects has the clandestine objective of developing atomic weapons.

Iran has warned it would close the strategic Strait of Hormuz, the entrance to the Gulf and a major oil shipping route, if it is attacked.

On Friday, the Israel newspaper Ma'ariv reported that Israel has stepped up preparations for a contingency plan to attack Iran, should diplomatic efforts, via the United Nations, fail to derail Tehran's suspected nuclear weapons programme.

From across the sea six million men and women call to us for help, and eight hundred thousand little children cry for bread.

These children, these men and women are our fellow-members of the human family, with the same claim on life as we, the same susceptibility to the winter's cold, the same propensity to death before the fangs of hunger. Within them reside the illimitable possibilities for the advancement of the human race as naturally would reside in six million human beings. We may not be their keepers but we ought to be their helpers.

In the face of death, in the throes of starvation there is no place for mental distinctions of creed, no place for physical differentiations of race. In this catastrophe, when six million human beings are being whirled toward the grave by a cruel and relentless fate, only the most idealistic promptings of human nature should sway the heart and move the hand.

Six million men and women are dying from lack of the necessaries of life; eight hundred thousand children cry for bread. And this fate is upon them through no fault of their own, through no transgression of the laws of God or man; but through the awful tyranny of war and a bigoted lust for Jewish blood.

In this threatened holocaust of human life, forgotten are the niceties of philosophical distinction, forgotten are the differences of historical interpretation; and the determination to help the helpless, to shelter the homeless, to clothe the naked and to feed the hungry becomes a religion at whose altar men of every race can worship and women of every creed can kneel. In this calamity the temporalities of man's fashionings fall away before the eternal verities of life, and we awaken to the fact that from the hands of one God we all come and before the tribunal of one God we all must stand on the day of final reckoning. And when that reckoning comes mere profession of lips will not weigh a pennyweight; but deeds, mere intangible deeds, deeds that dry the tear of sorrow and allay the pain of anguish, deeds that with the spirit of the Good Samaritan pour oil and wine in wounds and find sustenance and shelter for the suffering and the stricken, will outweigh all the stars in the heavens, all the waters in the seas, all the rocks and metals in all the celestian globes that revolve in the firmament around us.

Race is a matter of accident; creed, partly a matter of inheritance, partly a matter of environment, partly one's method of ratiocination; but our physical wants and corporeal needs are implanted in all of us by the hand of God, and the man or woman who can, and will not, hear the cry of the starving; who can, and will not, take heed of the wail of the dying; who can, and will not, stretch forth a helping hand to those who sink beneath the waves of adversity is an assassin of nature's finest instincts, a traitor to the cause of the human family and an abjurer of the natural law written upon the tablets of every human heart by the finger of God himself.

And so in the spirit that turned the poor widow's votive offering of copper into silver, and the silver into gold when placed upon God's altar, the people of this country are called upon to sanctify their money by giving $35,000,000 in the name of the humanity of Moses to six million famished men and women.

Six million men and women are dying -- eight hundred thousand little children are crying for bread.

And why?

Because of a war to lay Autocracy in the dust and give Democracy the sceptre of the Just.

And in that war for democracy 200,000 Jewish lads from the United States fought beneath the Stars and Stripes. In the 77th Division alone there were 14,000 of them, and in Argonne Forest this division captured 54 German guns. This shows that at Argonne the Jewish boys from the United States fought for democracy as Joshua fought against the Amalekites on the plains of Abraham. In an address on the so-called "Lost Battalion," led by Colonel Whittlesey of Pittsfield, Major-General Alexander shows the fighting stuff these Jewish boys were made of. In some way or another Whittlesey's command was surrounded. They were short of rations. They tried to get word back to the rear telling of their plight. They tried and they tried, but their men never got through. Paralysis and stupefaction and despair were in the air. And when the hour was darkest and all seemed lost, a soldier lad stepped forward, and said to Col. Whittlesey: "I will try to get through." He tried, he was wounded, he had to creep and crawl, but he got through. To-day he wears the Distinguished Service Cross and his name is Abraham Krotoshansky.

Because of this war for Democracy six million Jewsh men and women are starving across the seas; eight hundred thousand Jewish babies are crying for bread.

In the name of Abraham Krotoshinsky who saved the "Lost Battalion," in the name of the one hundred and ninety-nine thousand and nine hundred and ninety-nine other Jewish boys who fought for Democracy beneath the Stars and Stripes won't you give copper, or silver, or gold, to keep life in the heart of these men and these women; to keep blood in the bodies of these babies?

The Jew Has Helped Everybody But The Jew.

In the world war the Jew has helped everybody but the Jew. "Over there" he helped in camp, in council and in conflict. "Over here" he helped the Red Cross, the Y.M.C.A., the Knights of Columbus, the Masons, the Salvation Army and everybody else. So now is the time for everybody to help the Jew, and God knows now is the time he needs it.

From out of the gloom of this war every other race, save one or two, has snatched a ray of sunshine. But amid the encircling gloom there is no light for the Jew "to lead thou me on." The war is over for everyone, but the Jew. The knife is still at his throat and an unreasoning and unreasonable century-old lust for Jewish blood opens his veins. The Jew in Roumania, Poland and Ukrainia is being made the scapegoat of the war. Since the armistice has been signed thousands of Jews in Ukrainia has been offered up as living sacrifices to diabolical greed and fanatical passion -- their throats cut, their bodies rended limb from limb by assassin bands and rabid soldiery. In the city of Proskunoff one day a few weeks ago the dawn saw the door of every house wherein lived a Jew marked as a shambles for slaughter. For four days, from sunrise to sunset, fanatics plied the dagger like demons from hell, stopping only to teat with hands adrip with the blood of Jewish victims. They killed the men; they were less merciful to women. These they violated, and then they killed. From a purpose to a fury, from a fury to a habit ran this killing of the Jews, until within four days the streets of Proskunoff ran red with blood like gutters of a slaughter house, until its homes became a morgue for thousands of slaughtered human deings whose gaping wounds cried out for vengeance and whose eyes had turned to stone at the horrors they had seen. As Hon. Simon W. Rosendale, aptly paraphrasing Bobby Burns' thought, in his speech not long ago, said it is the age-old story of "man's inhumanity to man that makes countless thousands mourn." For as it has been at Proskunoff, so has it been in a hundred other places. The bloody tale hath repetition ad nauseum. It is the same tear-stained story -- the same old stain upon the escutcheon of humanity. Verily, Byron was right when he wrote:

Tribes of the wandering feet and weary breast
Whither shall ye flee to be at rest?
The wild dove hath her nest, the fox his cave,
Mankind their countries, Israel but the grave.

But Israel is entitled to a place in the sun, and the crucifixion of Jews must stop. We repeat the war is over for everybody, but the Jew. Like Isaac the knife is at his throat, but unlike Isaac no power seems able to stop the steel from thirsting for his blood. But some power the world must raise up to prevent this decimation of a deserving race. For the peace of the world a League of Nations let us have by all means; but for the Humanity of the World, to give justice to the Jew and other oppressed peoples on earth, let us have a Truce of God! -- Albany Times Union.

Of course, the above document does not mean that the Holocaust never took place. Arch historical revisionist David Irving himself admits that there were "death camps". What is at issue here is the exact numbers involved, how they died and who actually benefitted from and promoted the "Holocaust". Was it in fact the Zionists who used the "Holocaust" to pave the way for the foundation of Israel?

To answer this question, note the opening sentence of the final paragraph: "But Israel is entitled to a place in the sun, and the crucifixion of Jews must stop". This was first published nearly thirty years before the founding of modern Israel yet it anticipates it and opens many more questions that need to be answered. Ed.

HAVE YOU READ THE TALMUD LATELY?

In my last e-alert, I was the bearer of bad news: Deep within Judaism's most sacred rabbinic writings, the Talmud and Zohar (Kabbalah), there exists the obligation to overthrow existing Gentile and Christian society and establish a “new Jewish order.” Such Judaic teaching powerfully diminishes the value of Gentile lives, particularly today in Israel’s occupied territories and Lebanon.

I was consequently vilified by a number of readers. One asked, “Where do you get this trash?” He said that if he needed to know the dark side of Judaism, he’d rather do it from Mein Kampf!

The truth is that, with the possible exception of some secular Jewish congregations, every synagogue in the world contains the Talmud and Zohar. It’s from these works that my assertions came. They are the two most important sources of inspired literature for observant Jews, greatly surpassing the Bible. The Talmud however, is the most universally read and applied.

Herman Wouk, Orthodox Jew and famed author of The Cain Mutiny, affirms, “The Talmud is to this day the circulating heart’s blood of the Jewish religion. Whatever laws, customs, ceremonies we observe—whether we are Orthodox, Conservative, Reform or merely spasmodic sentimentalists—we follow the Talmud. It is our common law.” ¹

One would think that religious literature so centrally important to one of the world’s great religions would be easily located in local libraries. It is certainly easy to find the Bible or Koran.

Not so the Talmud. While the very largest municipal libraries in a state may possess the Talmud and Zohar, they are almost always absent elsewhere, except in synagogues. In almost every synagogue in the world, the Talmud and Zohar loom above every other piece of literature in authority and appreciation.

Why are library shelves vacant of the Talmud and Zohar? Quite simply, it’s because Judaism teaches that the law they contain was given to Jews alone and it’s wrong for Gentiles to read that law. The Talmud says, “The goy who pries into the law is worthy of death.” ²

The Jewish Encyclopedia tells us, “Hence the Talmud prohibited the teaching to a Gentile of the Torah [Talmud and Zohar] “the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob…” R. Johanan says of one so teaching, “Such a person deserves death.”—Sanh. 59a, Hagigah.” ³

Accordingly, Jewish leaders make it clear to Christian seminaries and scholars that they will not tolerate published research into the Talmud’s real teachings about Christ, Christianity, and Gentiles. Christian academics obey, terrified of being smeared as “anti-Semites.”

In the early '80s, as part of research for my book, Israel: Our Duty, Our Dilemma, I visited the Judaic section of the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. to study various versions of the Zohar, or Kabbalah.

On my first visit, I asked the Jewish librarian where to find the Soncino English translation. He became disturbed and replied, “I don’t think you want to read that. You might misunderstand it.” I couldn’t believe my ears. I’m afraid I showed my anger. He relented.

Since publication of my book in 1984 and release of my first video documentary on this subject, “The Other Israel,” many people, confronted with the dark side of Judaic ethics, have rejected my message outright. Their reasoning is simple and direct: “What Pike says can’t be true because our Christian leaders and national media have never given us a hint of confirmation for what he says.” A smaller number contend that I quoted out of context or, even worse, forged documents. They think I faked the Xerox copies of the Talmud and Zohar in the appendix of my book, to create the illusion of a Judaic conspiracy.

Such skepticism has been flying at me via email this week. I will therefore conclude by reproducing a few pages from the Talmud and Zohar, displaying the antipathy of the Talmud and Zohar toward Gentiles.

Biden: Israel's decisions must be made in Jerusalem, not D.C.

Israel must remain a strong ally of the United States, however its decisions "must be made in Jerusalem", said Delaware Senator and Democratic Party Vice Presidential nominee Joseph Biden during a teleconference held with members of the Jewish press on Wednesday.

Biden also expressed his support of Israel's right to protect itself, saying, "Israel has the right to defend itself and it doesn't have to ask, just as any other free and independent country.

The Vice Presidential nominee vowed that the U.S. will "always stand by Israel, without telling Israelis what they can and cannot do.

Biden dismissed the prominent role played by the pro-Israel lobby AIPAC, saying the group "doesn't speak for the entire Jewish community," and it "doesn't speak for the state of Israel, no matter what it insists on any occasion."

The Delaware senator also attacked critics who have questioned his support of Israel saying, "I will take a back seat to no one, and again, no one in AIPAC or any other organization, in terms of questioning my support of the State of Israel."
The former chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations also criticized presumptive Republican Presidential Nominee John McCain's approach to Israel and the United States' diplomatic tensions with Iran by portraying the Islamic Republic as being in a fractured and weak state.

"McCain says it's status quo or war - and there's nothing in between. We all know Iran is weak and weak economically," Biden said. "We should stop making Iran into this 12-foot giant. They are not. They are not. The more we do that, the more we undercut our own self-interest."

Biden also questioned the wisdom of a pre-emptive U.S.-led attack on Iran, at a time when the U.S. is "bogged-down in Iraq," adding that he has been "stunned by the incompetence" of the Bush administration in its handling of the war in Iraq.

Biden defended his opposition to the Kyl-Lieberman Iran amendment, which calls for labeling Iran's Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization and passed by a vote of 76 - 22, saying that he didn't want to help the government find a "pretext for war with Iran," especially in light of what he described as the Bush administration's inept handling of the war in Iraq.

Biden accused the Bush administration of neglecting the security of Israel's northern border after the Second Lebanon War, saying, "Look what we did in regard to Lebanon - we insisted with the French that the Syrians pull out - but we should have been fully engaged training Lebanese to fill in the void in the South so it wouldn't be filled by Hezbollah - and surprise surprise! - Hezbollah fills up the void! And when Israel pulled out, and we, instead of jumping in as I proposed, to help rebuild down there - now once again we ended with Iranians once again providing the Hezbollah with money to help people to rebuild their houses."

Meanwhile, Obama campaign spokeswoman Wendy Morigi put out the following statement late Wednesday: "Barack Obama and Joe Biden have both enjoyed close and effective cooperation with AIPAC over many years, grounded in their respect for its important mission to support Israel's security and a strong U.S.-Israel relationship.

"That is a mission they share, and they look forward to continuing to work closely with AIPAC on their common goals."
